Now I'm getting weirder lag. It's no longer in stages, it's not slowly building up lag.
Now It's like -Perfect Gameplay.. Perfect Gameplay.. Perfect G-FREEZE-

I can't do anything more in Base Wars. I can get the chaingun but by then the lag is so bad and I can't fight anymore. Roblox NEEDS to fix this.

you start lagging alot faster if you stand there and do nothin [ in other words go afk ] if you do that you start majorly lagging in about 5 min |

WEll thanks but i will tell you this. My dad is a omputer shop owner so he made me a computer.
Intel Core i7 @3.33GHz
ATi Radeon 5670 HD
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
8GB DDR3 RAM
and a terabyte of hard disk space.
I put on fraps and Roblox and was getting a steady 30 fps and it slowly came to 20 fps. I opened up and see my network send about 30 MB to the server and nothing came back. It froze. All I want to do is play Roblox with my friends and kill some n00bs and guests (lol) but I lag out. I closed it, tried it again and about 30 minutes, BOOM everything freezes. And don't tell me that this computer sucks because I can run the fail Flight Simulator X, EVERYTHING TO HIGH, and im getting 30 fps. THATS A ACHIEVEMENT! You try it and see...

Yeah, this happens to me alot. IT's not my character that lags, It's the server and the objects that move around me. It's a sort of "freeze, stop, lagg, freeze, freeze," that kind of lag. It isn't my computer, no. Roblox just does it in game after I play for a long while. I mean, My character moves around freely and smoothly, but all animations just become extremely lagged up over a period of time, to where most of the time, if you stand through all that stress and lagg, the server crashes. I try to rejoin it, but it's gone. |

I totally agree with you on server age, maybe that's it! Something is causing the servers to age out alot faster and start at first smoothly, but then later on in gameplay "ABOUT, 30min," the game/server just starts to freeze up around me, and it just does that, getting worse and worse, until(If I bare through the annoying surrounding lag), the server crashes and I can't rejoin. |

Yeah, I'm getting so sick of this freeze lag. It drives me crazy, RANDOM lag at random times! ONe time I join a server, it doesn't start freezing the players around me until half an hour into it, another game, freezes objects round me immediately, another,, it takes 1 hour and 30 minutes and then starts MAJOR lag! This is confusing. I absolutely know it's not my computer. I pm'd builderman about this, and guess what? He gave me a wiki page for latest graphics drivers, OMG! I HAVE THE LATEST GRAPHICS DRIVER FIRMWARE AVAILABLE for my ati graphics card! I just have to say, NO, this does NOT have to do with anyone's computer, I'm pretty sure that it's either servers lagging up and stressing, Roblox abusing primitive engine software that needs to be upgraded a huge leap, and adding gear, items, hats, packages, models, etc, all in a server at once, just makes everything x50 times worse. |

Everyone needs to just buy a new graphics card. I understand that some people dont' have enough money, but we really need to get up-to-date with the modern pc components. |

Graphics Card (GC)
I do not advise buying a new GC unless you do have one that is outdated more than a decade ago, I might be wrong. The computer I am using is top-of-the-line. But if Roblox DOES require a new GC, imagine all the players who pretty much have to quit because their parents won't buy them a GC for a game. I can understand if there is over 20 games that a user might play outside of Roblox THEN the parents might buy a newer GC, but if it's just for Roblox then the parents might not bother.
Ever tried Base Wars? Try getting up to 50 KO's. It's pretty much impossible now, because most users are unable to play quick-reaction games after 45 minutes. Base Wars? I find it difficult because then it is like trying to estimate where they are going to be in the next frame.
Roblox needs to fix this right away.

Just to make sure thier is not a connection with the specs of a computer, try posting your comp. specs. we can figure out if theres a pattern of parts that causes the issue. or not. :P |

Ugh... I go to Armored Patrol 5.7 almost every day...
After a half-hour my tank freezes, I can't jump out, nobody talks and NOTHING works!
Also... The thing I hate most is how ROBLOX is supposedly a "Children game" yet none of the admins care about these bugs whatsoever...
ROBLOX is ruining itself and dosen't even care... They can't accept that they aren't perfect and that EVERYBODY makes mistakes... |

I lag after 5 minutes of being in the server. I think it's not server age, but it's much rather your client's time of accessing the server. I've played servers that have been active for a long while (around 1 to 2 hours) and have experienced NO lag in the first 5 minutes of gameplay after entering. However, afterwards, it gradually slows down, and i find my character's movements to get more and more uncoordinated and sluggish. It's nothing to do with my internet or my connection to the internet. And anything about my computer is out of the question. Tons of people get on and off Roblox every day, entering and leaving different servers of different games all the time. Congestion of the Roblox main server is a big suspect, but i doubt it is the cause. If it were, you'd end up lagging even right after joining a game. It's something related to the amount of time a client has accessed a server and all the data that the client has collaborated while being in the server. Not 100% sure, but that's a grand deduction right there... |

i think server age could affect lags too in some place, reasons:
1 bad scripter makes bad scripts!! they might use the OnPlayerEntered function but forgot about OnPlayerLeave, so the more the got playerenters, the more it lags, like if someone do
function OnPlayerEntered()
sc = script.Parent.Blah:clone()
sc = player stuff
and all those stuff will build up TONS of unused scripts and most of them would be while true do scripts which makes the lag worse
2 another kind of bad scripter: they use something similar to the following script
while true do
a = script:clone()
a.Parent = game.Workspace
wait(0.1)
end
this will cause multiple of this script cloned and thus using up resources and cause lag over time, the longer the server survives the more it lags |

The server to client replications are seemingly getting slower and slower the more you're in the game. LocalScripts don't need replication, so Local things (your character, your character animation) are unaffected. |
