Alex suddenly snapped out of her trance-like state she had been in, she then noticed that Siad and Noelle had run off. "Eh?!??!" Alex said, freaking out, she began to look around for them, the glow soon faded after the dance finished, Alex was unable to find the others, but she did find her old clothes, they where simply folded up under her rock. "Weird.." She mumbled, changing, then after a few more minutes of fruitless searching, she hid her wings under her clothes once more, and set off for home. |

i saw Alex walking away in her old clothes, and called down to her. "we're up here!" i yelled, then turned back to Noelle. "well... whatever the reason it's yours and yours alone. i'll see you tomorrow." and started flying home. on the way back i called down to Alex: "see ya tomorrow!" then glided home. |

"Well, great going, blockhead! You just lost your only friends." I muttered, sighing. I was tired, upset with myself, and feeling like screaming. "There is a place you can go...." I muttered under my breath, and the flew towards the one place I felt really at home: my secret swimming pool. |

When I reached ma secret pool, I didn't hesitate, and just dove right in. "Wha-?! Why can't I reach the surface?" I thought, frantically trying to swim upwards in a panic. It was my wings. They had absorbed water and were dragging me down. "Well, this is it." I thought to myself. But then I remebered the teardrop-shaped pattern on my palm. I regained my focus and concentrated hard. I pictured myself on a small wave above the water, and opened my eyes. I was standing on a wave exactly liek I had pictured myself. I made the waves carry me to shore, and then imagined my wings drying off. It worked. Next, I worked on making waves by motioning with my hands, creating small waves by moving my hands around. Eventually, I worked it out so I would hold out my arms, and then bring them together in a sweeping motion, then push forwards with my hands together and my palms facing out. It worked well, and I thought it looked pretty cool, too. I couldn't wait to show Siad and Alex at first, but then realized I had blown it again, and they probably hated me, just like the rest of the school. I sighed, wiping tears from my eyes, then took off and flew towards home. |

When Alex got home, she noticed immediently that something was wrong, there where TV stations there, people who worked at the zoo, etc, all gathered in front of her home, a million thoughts ran through her head at once. Was there some dangerous animal let loose in her home? Alex wondered in horror to herself, she ran over to one of the men and tapped him on the shoulder. "Excuse me.. can you-" Alex didnt have time to finish before she heard an all too familliar voice come from within the crowd. "Thats her, thats the pixie freak!" Alex froze in complete horror as Megan stepped out in front of her, before Alex could do anything, Megan had pulled down Alex's shirt enough that her wings popped right out, there was a gasp, and before Alex could try to run or fly away, she heard something like a shot being fired, and she felt a needle jab into her leg. Just before she went unconcious, Alex heard the zooman ask Megan. "Where there any others like her?" He asked. "No, there where two others but they didnt have wings or anything." Megan sneered, turning and looking coldly into Alex's closing eyes. "Have a nice nap.." And then everything went black. |

as i was flying home i noticed a bunch of people around Alex's home. "what the...?" i ask myself, and land on my roof and quickly go in through my window and put on a shirt, then sprint over. "what's going on?!" i yell. |

Bic; Alex was quickly put into a secure truck and wisked off to the local zoo, there she was examined all over, they looked at where her wings protruded from her, amazed to discover that they where actual parts of her, they quickly put her into a very secure metal cage with a bed, a few books, and a metal slide door for food to be put in, Alex though, was still asleep during all of this, unaware of what just happened. |

i saw a metal truck leaving and wondered what happened, then remembered Megan. oh no! "MEGAN!" i screamed. from my anger my wings spread out, ripping my shirt off, and took off into the sky, following the general direction of the truck, knowing it was going to the zoo. |

When Alex awoke later, she took a moment to remember what had happened, she then looked around, very confused, before realising where she was. "HEY! LEMME OUTA HERE! I'M NOT AN ANIMAL!!" She screamed, pounding to no avail at the thick metal door. Suddenly, a small little slot opened up, and she saw some eyes through the slot. "AHH! PEEPING TOM!!" Alex screamed, poking the pair of eyes, well, in the eyes. "OW! That hurt you idiotic fairy!" Alex was taken aback, suddenly realising that she had been put into a monster-glued-together daisy petal dress that left her wings showing. "I'm not a fairy!" She shouted, unaware that her wings where beating angrily. "Then what are you then?" The voice asked. Alex froze for a moment, not sure WHAT she was. "I didnt think so." She voice said, closing the small slide and walking away. "What am I?" Alex said quietly to herself, plopping down on her bed. |

i got to the zoo and saw the truck, but it was late. i landed gracefully by a bush and dove in to see a couple rabbits and a garden snake. i lay there, curling up and crying myself to sleep. |

As I was flying home, I noticed a crowd around Alex's house. There were newsvans, and from what I could tell, a couple of trucks that were just leaving, which appeared to be trucks from the..... zoo?! Then I saw Megan, and I knew. Alex had been ratted out. "NOOO!" Was all I could think. I flew out of range of sight, and landed on my roof, folding my wings in. And then I waited for Megan. I was going to teach her a lesson she would never forget. |

I saw Megan walking down the street. Now was my chance. I jumped down in front of her and socked her in the face as hard as I could, then ran away, leaving her nose bleeding and her swearing she would find me. I ran in the direction of the zoo, cursing silently and sobbing as I ran. |

I reached the zoo. I needed to find Siad ASAP. He would know what to do. I searched frantically, looking everywhere and hoping my instints were right. I was looking through bushes when I found him, tears dried on his face, asleep. "Siad! Wake up, please!" I said, shaking him. I was still sobbing. "Alex needs our help! We have to save her!" I said through my tears. |

Bic; i woke up to hear Noelle sobbing and shaking me. "i know. we can't do anything until morning, which is when we'll be able to get in... and i sort of revealed myself. i got really angry and my wings sort of ripped my shirt." i said. "i'm going to have to be careful now." i said. "lay down and sleep. i'll keep first watch. in the morning we'll think of a plan." i said, and sat in the bushes, my eyes peering out towards the road and my eyes open for any sounds. |
