I've followed the "Builderman's Help" page, but I've come across a contradiction.
Problem:
Your "=" key doesn't work and won't allow you to drop your hat in game.
Solution:
This issue is caused by certain keyboard drivers. You will need to look for and uninstall the drivers so that your "=" key will work. Please go through the following steps. Removing these drivers requires administrator privileges on your computer. You may need your parents to help you.
Go to Start > Control Panel > Keyboard > Hardware > Properties > Driver > Update Driver
Look for any Keyboard devices with "106" or "109" in either the device name or the driver names.
For example:
C:\Windows\system32\drivers\kbd106.dll
or
Microsoft eHome MCIR 109 Keyboard
For the MCIR 109, you need to change the driver to "HID-Compliant Driver"
If there is a kbd106.dll in the PS/2 Keyboard driver list, change it to "Standard PS/2 101/102 Keyboard"
To ensure that these settings do not revert to previous, select an HID-Compliant Driver.
After you have made the appropriate changes, reboot your computer.
The thing is, it has both C:\Windows\system32\drivers\kbdhid.sys AND C:\Windows\system32\drivers\kbd106.dll . Also, the Update Driver button just searches for drivers and tells me I have the most recent driver for it. Does anyone know what I should do?
I'm at a loss as at what to do. |
