1. The names are pronounced as if they were Asian. (A nice touch by the director but clearly disliked by fans.)
2. Kyoshi Warriors are gone.
3. Aang’s outfit is incorrect
4. Aang’s appearance in the iceberg was done wrong. (Katara triggered it, not Sokka’s boomerang.)
5. Yue turning into the moon spirit was done wrong.
6. Zuko’s scar is barely noticeable
7. Firebending was changed. (They now have to have a source of fire to pull from.)
8. Aang isn’t as quirky. Way too serious. I mean, he’s 12 for crying out loud!
9. Aang strikes weird poses for an airbender, like he’s trying to hard to look epic.
10. Sokka barely ever cracks a joke.
11. Pakku doesn’t look like he’s supposed to.
12. Katara doesn’t have her signature hair-loopies.
13. Making a sequel is now impossible.
14. Zuko…he just looks like a totally random guy was cast that part.
15. Aang never had a cloak.
16. Fire Nation army outfits are incorrect. (No pointy shoulder pads, etc.)
17. Haru is like 5.
18. In the movie, Sozin’s comet was coming in 3 years, in the cartoon, it was only months.
19. Not enough Fire Nation topknots.
20. Appa sounds like Chewbacca
21. No Foaming mouth guy
22. NO CABBAGE MERCHANT
23. The captions in the movie were unesscessary.
24. Not enough Momo.
25. There were no pirates. The waterbending scroll was found in a closet.
26. Haru’s dad didn’t have that awesome beard.
27. Iroh is not the chubby uncle we all know and love.
28. It took like 6 people the move a rock across the movie screen.
29. Zuko looks really old. He’s supposed to be 16.
30. Azula doesn’t look as crazy as she’s supposed to.
31. No giant Avatar state water monster.
32. Grangran was never called grangran, just grandma.
33. Grangran mentioned Hama in the beginning, but she wasn’t supposed to be known about until book 3.
34. The only romance between Aang and Katara was a hug after he made that one giant wave.
35. The air temples were messed up. The statue room was supposed to be located in the southern air temple, but in the movie it was in the northern Air Temple.
36. The northern air temple was not inhabited by those cool glider people.
37. Zuko’s “Blue Spirit” mask had hair…
38. Mai was not included.
39. Omashu was not included.
40. Boomi was not included.
41. The great canyon crossing was never mentioned. (I know that was one of the least important episodes but I think it’s worthy of a reason.)
42. June was not included.
43. The perfume episode (Bato of the Water Tribe) was not mentioned.
44. Too many flashbacks.
45. Roku was never seen, just symbolized, by his dragon animal guide.
46. Aang entered the spirit world when he found Gyatso. That didn’t happen.
47. The spirit world was messed up. Nuff said.
48. Koh the face stealer was never in it.
49. Haru wasn’t imprisoned on a ship.
50. Gyatso didn’t look like Gyatso.
51. Haru lived on Kyoshi Island
52. Katara had an easy time learning water bending, and Aang did not. (It was supposed to be the other way around.)
53. Iroh never tested Aang to see if he was the Avatar.
54. In the movie, when Aang first escaped Zuko, he never went into the Avatar state and made the giant wave, crushing Zuko’s ship.
55. It never mentioned Yue was engaged.
56. The movie kept showing the Fire Lord’s face, but his face was never revealed until Book 3
57. The men in the Fire Nation didn’t have those wicked side burns.
58. Last time I checked, Iroh didn’t have dread locks.
59. There were no cross animals except Momo and the fire nation lizard things.
60. When Zuko first found Aang at the South Pole, Aang hid. In the cartoon he fought back at first.
61. No Jet.
62. Katara never made her speeches about hope.
63. Jeong Jeong was never in it.
64. It was never mentioned that Katara couldn’t learn water bending at the North Pole at first.
65. Clearly an Asian inspired cartoon and movie, the main characters (Aang, Katara, Sokka, etc.) weren’t Asian.
66. Aang confessed why he ran away in the storm episode, but only because he was having nightmares that bothered him. In the movie, he told everyone like it wasn’t important.
67. Aang didn’t really seem to mind being the last airbender. (I would be.)
68. Water isn’t supposed to slosh around like in the movie. It’s supposed to be one solid form.
69. None of the Fire Nation soldiers even DID anything when they were fighting. They just stood and waited to get pummeled.
70. It never mentioned Katara having healing powers.
71. Zhao wasn’t killed by water benders, it was the giant water monster.
72. Katara and Pakku never fought
73. Aang was captured by Zhao because he was trying to find a cure for Katara and Sokka, not because some creepy old man wanted money.
74. Fortune Teller Lady was cut.
75. Zhoa killed the moon with fire, not a dagger.
By the way, for all of you A:TLA fans out there, google The legend of Korra! I just found out about it today. |

Woah. How many times did you have to see the movie to list all this? |
|
|
Woah that's a lot of errors. XD there's no way i coulda caught that many. |
|
|
I liked the way Princess Yue lost her spirit in the movie. I thought it was better from in the show. |
|
|
No...she was supposed to BECOME the moon spirit, not just give her life for it. Just dying loses all purpose. |
|
|
No she didnt die. She just went in a diffrent life form. |

I actually read all of your list and there are some errors that you made.
The Cave of the two lovers (the cave they have to go through to excape firenation people coming) Was in book 2, earth.
Mai was not included in book 1. And I think there are some others.
Btw you forgot one. They never found out that Grangran and the waterbending master were ever engaged. |

@Naub:
The cave I was referring to was the one in the episode called "The Storm" |
|
|
Ohhh. It wasnt important though. I think they only put the important stuff. No time for alot of details. |
|
|
@ichi10
They did so appear in book 1. The Kyoshi Warriors was one of the first 15 episodes! |
|
|
That must've took a while. |
|
|

@YouCant: Yes, it was a sad day when the world realized the cabbage man was no more. |
