The chat system annoys me how people can easily not notice the flashing green speech bubble in the bottom right of their screen. Example:
SuperSy is mindlessly looking through the catalog.
Dino77: Hey SupaSy :P
*DING*
SuperSy notices the ding and turns the chat box on to see that Dino had just very recently chatted. Happy with the new system, SuperSy chats back XD.
SuperSy: Hey, what's up?
Dino77, waiting for SuperSy's reply by watching the chat box, does not hear a ding for his chat box is already open. The two continue chatting until Dino77 accidentally clicks out and forgets about SuperSy.
SuperSy: Hey Dino, you there?
*DING*
Dino77 hears the ding and turns the chat back on.
I know, sounds corny :P, but it was the best example of what I meant. What do you think? |

What 123ornot1 said. BUT, if people spam you with dings, you just go to privacy settings and turn the group for whoever that person was off. |

Alas, the chat thing should either and/or both:
1. Fade to highly translucent when not in use, and
2. Fade to highly translucent on mouse over (along with leader-boards and such)

No... ROBLOX would not crash on the 3rd ding. If you have any instant messaging systems on your computer, you would be able to know it doesn't make your computer or the interenet connection ANY SLOWER. Plus, the feature would obviously come out with a "turn ding off". AND, you're forgetting the new feature PRIVACY SETTINGS! |
