Its supposed to be blocky. And roblox won't just change to 'next generation'. Its progressing over time.

Well they are actually working on upgrading the graphics engine currently...hopefully they will work on the physics engine next >.<

It's a slow process. Roblox doesn't work in generations, it works one update at a time. although some updates are a lot cooler and more significant than others.
