The man seemed to finally notice her. He was a bit startled, but quickly regained his composure.
"By the Maker, who are you?" |
|
|
"KY." I said, smiling brightly, my tounge stuck out in my usual painfully cute fashion. "I'm looking for some help." |
|
|
"Help? As in what kind of help?" |
|
|
I showed him the note I took from the Chantry Board. "I'm trying to find a 'Suspicious Person' but I'm not sure where to start. But you look like you know your way around, so I thought you could help." I beamed at him, whistling a little tune. |
|
|
"Err...."
He looked at the note, and a thoughtful expression entered his face. He stroked his chin for a moment, then sighed.
"This man you are looking for? Well, I can't help. Suspicious people often get rooted out by the guards. You might look in the alleyways, though."
With that, he departed down the road. |
|
|
I silently put the note back in to my Herb pouch, nodding and smiling. I then happily walked off towards the Back Alleys, as the man had advised. |

(Back to Carrul)
Carrul stabbed the first smuggler to reach them, and the smuggler fell to the ground, dead. The second and third smugglers were engaged in combat with the rest of the patrol. Carrul ran past them to attack the two smugglers behind them, who were putting arrows to their bows. Carrul used his shield to push one down to the ground, and finished him off with a single stroke of his blade. The other archer panicked and desperately pulled out his dagger. In his haste, he didn't look where he was going, and realized he was in a corner. He dropped his dagger and bow, and cowered in fear, as the rest of the patrol finished off the rest of the smugglers and surrounded him. The patrol bound his hands and feet and proceeded to walk back to the barracks, taking the alleyways. |

I bumped into a patrol as I wandered the Alleyways. "Hello there!" I said cheerfully, but my smile faded a little. "Do you guys know anything about this?" I asked, showing them the Notice. |

Through the crowded roads of Riverward, I get through a crowd in the market to the Endless Cast, I've known the bartender there for along time, I'm bored, so I guess I'll do a deed, after all that bartender did to me. Free Drinks, discounts. Maybe it's time to help him. I walk into the Endless Cast to find people at usual, talking, drinking, whatever. "Ello Tender, anything I can do for you today? Anything YOU need for once?" |

Carrul looked at the note.
"Err... No."
The strung up bandit managed to bite through his gag.
"Help me, please!"
Carrul promptly gave a smack to the bandit's head. The bandit didn't let up, and started a string of lies.
"They killed my friends and arrested my family! They say they're guards, but they're not! Help me!"
Carrul gave another smack.
"That's enough out of you for now." |

I stared at the man. "Who's he?" I asked, before turning my gaze on Carrul. I placed the Notice back in my pocket. The man certainly looked like a bandit, but the men were being a little rough with him. But they WERE wearing full Gaurd uniform... |

"Are you serious?" The man asked me. "Yes, I am..." I replied with some disloyal tone. The bartender dropped the mug he was cleaning and leaned over to me slowly. "Well, I got a job for you then. This sorry little thing who goes by the name Alfred Banks is friends with the person who sends me supplies. I know this because I saw'em in the back alley and he is hoarding half of my shipments." He whispers to me. "Well, I can't always drag his arse back here and him begging and then doing it all over again. I want you to kill 'em dead for good, I'll even pay you 10 silver coins right now." He finished as he fetched some coins out of his pocket. I disappeared out of the Tavern, taking the coins before he could finish. |

(podraptor, I think a nap will do you wonders.)
The bartender nods for a bit and reaches below the counter, retrieving some notes.
Note 1: I need some help with a "business partner" of mine. His arrogance got the better of him, and I need some help "persuading" him to "lend" "his" money to me.
4 vials of poison should do the trick.
Note 2: Some deals with lyrium brokers went wrong, and my boys were killed. I need someone to make these people "disappear".
