This isn't just a good idea, it's mandatory in today's world of gaming. To not have these features is to be substandard. However, I find the existing texture capabilities to already be below standard. Decals and textures interfere with other effects like transparency, smoke, and fire. I would like to see the existing features be perfected. Like shadows? Why are shadows so processor intensive? Why do they cause more lag and cutoffs? Shouldn't our local video cards be handling these effects without burdening our main CPU's or consuming more bandwidth from the server? This should be true for bump-mapping as well.

I like it, however it will take a certain amount of scripting and does it have a price? They barely have any money to put up ads.

I was going to suggest this, but you beat me to it. XP Just to answer the shadow problem, the thing I found out about shadows, is it doesn't appear on one brick. If you are on a skyscraper, the shadow will trace itself all the way down until there are no more bricks. We need to fix that. Also I support.
