I've been using the forum on this site for what, about 2 years now? And I'll tell you what I've seen.
Lack of moderation interaction, or just flat out moderation. I've been on plenty of forums before. The moderators actually try their best when it comes to dismantling all notorious actions of trolls, flamers, and immature brats. Here, the mods probably don't even try their hardest at their jobs. First, when you fire all your volunteer mods due to age limits, it's probably the worst strategy to use. From then on, nearly all of the forum corrupted. It is so easy to bypass any form "moderation". Look at this mess, alt codes, amateur trolling, immature flamewars, etc. etc. etc... Do they hardly even use pinned posts to their advantage? Why aren't there pinned posts on the main forum page, above all the links to the subsections?
Hypocrisy, accusations, deception, your typical premature community... How can such be dealt with? Honestly, when it comes to this failure of a community, that's what's questionable. When one tries to start a reasonable argument, it's usually countered with a witty, arrogant excuse. When one makes a point, what will be the answer? Obscure replies such as "WIN!" or "FAIL GO GET A LIFE" as judged by what I've seen in my past 15,000 posts. When it comes to the scams in which people fall for, it's pretty much obvious that you're going to earn at least one act of gullibility. Especially the debates people try and put up, some aren't even reasonable at all!
The "trolls" here just suck. Now look what we have here. Pathetic attempts that actually SUCCEED in such undefined context. Seriously, look around. When people are trying to troll a gullible community, of course it's going to work! I mean, the trolling is just ridiculous, all you have to do is just use some lame alt codes and the entire thread will be spammed with "OMG O_O" because they've first off, have never taken a good look at life, so they'd rather bump the thread up for everyone to see it, until 15 minutes later a moderator FINALLY deletes it (if they're online, they've got to be doing such thing to every thread, wouldn't they?). Half the attempts are just random words that come out of a person's extremely bored imagination.
TL;DR
Too bad. You've failed to read any of this, and you'll rather reply with TL;DR because you obviously had enough time and effort to put such a useless excuse up for everyone to see. Oh well, I guess you're going to reply with that anyway to show the world that you're supposedly the wittiest person on the earth and you know how to anger one in the most obvious attempts. |

Actually, the filter is SO bad now you don't even need to use alt codes, like the R word some how got unfiltered in the last week |

They need international moderators. Most mods, if not all live in California, meaning while they're asleep no one is online deleting spam and such. |

I think of the forum as a bridge. Unsuspecting people go across with good intentions but are attacked buy the trolls that lurk in the shadows underneath. |

@ Agent, I'd expect spam not to be so bad that when a new hat comes out the comment system for said hat fails because people are posting over 200 spam comments in a minute. |
