They would need to change the physics engine because: -The physics engine works using a few shapes, not some fancy dynamically created uber complex mesh-shapes... -If they edited it, it would still lagg awfully -they didnt even make the physics engine they have now, roblox is assembled of free opensource junk wich they just put together and edited a tiny bit.

This would work, and WITHOUT lag. This wouldn't be inserting a mesh, this would be about the same as resizing a brick. A mesh would make it a solid form, and you couldn't walk through it. This would be like simply erasing a small part.

The point is you can disquise a brick using a mesh, you can resize it, you can change its color. But you cannot edit its shape outside of: Wheel Brick Sphere Wedge because that alone is enough without causing lag. Beingable to make custom shapes would: a) Require a brand new shape to be uploaded through the system everytime b) Require formFactor in all 3 dimensions which roblox does not support outside of the simple Ball Object. c) would be impossible to sculpt because then you would need parameters for the cut tool, meaning it becomes a Cut/Extrude tool, which eats up both RAM and graphics. It's just... not worth the effort to have a greater outcome. Like trying to sell gold at 1$ a pound and expecting a profit. {And at that time, Brighteyes cast away his Devs, exclaiming to thee, "Let There Be Hats!"} {Support http://www.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=30651364}

"beepbopboo is a troll ifnore him he hasent said ainthing good about any threads, and i BET he will reply to this..." -- First of all, you are correct, I will reply to that. Secondly, you're quite ignorant to think that I'm a troll, let alone saying anything good about threads. You're opinion of good differs from my opinion. And so far, everything I was is good. Criticism is to point out flaws within ideas. I hope that the player will find solutions to those flaws, which he has not done yet. Therefore, this thread is a failure.

"This would work, and WITHOUT lag. This wouldn't be inserting a mesh, this would be about the same as resizing a brick." -- This guy is talking about making a cutting tool that will cut the brick in all sorts of ways, including diagonally, which ROBLOX cannot do. Players will just create extremely high poly bricks that WILL lag, no matter what.

"Again must I ask for yes or no's? Not complaints and resons." -- There's this brand new invention called "criticism"! It's where we point out flaws within an idea! By you asking for us to only say 'yes' or 'no', it shows that you obviously hate it when people find flaws within your idea, and can't handle it.

I have a start for the brick cutter. It can break a big brick into grids the size you want so you don't have to mass copy.
