No tl;dr stuff please.
Dear ROBLOX devs:
People are constantly getting upset because most places on the front page are made out of free models. Some say that free models should be taken off roblox. Others disagree because there are some things that you just can't build no matter how hard you try. My idea is this: Limit the amount of free models in a place. Maybe 5-10 should be allowed. And for contests, only one free model should be allowed since there's usually only 20 places that are original and they usually get last place in the contests. Please reply telling me if you support or not, and if not, please explain why.

You can use as many as you want NOW, which is bad. Why? Becuase all of the spastic, drooling 6 year old on this website always beleive their place is awsome when it's made out of uncredited work from other people. |

u can just go to another random game of yours and get 10 of the models u want, then group them together and make it a whole model!
and keep doing this untill u get all the models u need!

Navy, it is impossible to prevent players from republishing models. And it's not even against rules. Peoplesare allowed to use free models WITHOUT giving credit. When you publish a model, you can put it in public domain or not. If you put it in public domain, they can do whatever they want with it. Sadly... |

Free models are made for a reason, if free models were limited, then games that require volunteers, assets, specialized scripts would crumble down. Free models aren't just those things you copy over and jumble up, they're essential parts and references to use in games. Map makers, will no longer exist, and games would be forced to be independent, and that also will destroy developer groups who make games together by sending models to be used to each other. It's not as simple. |
