Randomizer... Hrm... Hit a wall here... I don't suppose there's a online randomizing program that determines the results and can only be used by admins?

Google Virtual Dice. It works, I use it.

About armor penetration... Say a target has 50 armor. A sword has high damage output but very low armor penetration, being a blade and armor is usually solid. Maces inflict bruises, crack bones, stuff like that because the force will channel through the armor and hit the body. Starting maces should have armor penetrations of 10 or more. Clubs, which are basically wooden maces, have only 4 or more at the beginning.

I'll start listing types of weapons: Swords/Daggers Bows/Crossbows Staves Spears Axes Clubs Maces Instruments Cards Tombs (Books) I'll go look up some more.

I feel like there should be different types of resistances. Some armor should be resistant to blunt, while other armor is weak against it. There would be 3 types of physical damage. Pierce Slice Blunt

Axes/Waraxes/Hatchets/Battleaxes/Woodaxes: Even Maces/Mauls/Hammers/Mallets/Clubs: High Armor Penetration, Low damage output. Staves: Even Staffs: Boost Magic, Low damage output. Pole-arms/Hoes/Rakes/Shovels: High Armor Penetration. Spears: High damage output.

What of Bows/Crossbows, Instruments, Cards, and Tombs? Tombs are specifically for magic users.

This sounds really cool:D! I love dungeon crawlers so this i my cup of tea. I didn't read all the pages and was wondering if you made a bestiary. Also, How about claws and knuckles for weapons?:D

No cards. Sick of them. Bows and XBows will be dealt with when they matter. Instruments also.

Sli.ce sho.uld be cha.nged to Sla.sh. Go.od aga.inst flex.ible arm.ors like lea.ther. In-effe.ctive aga.inst chain-ma.il and plate-m.ail. Chain-m.ail was designed to stop bla.des, and cut.ting so.lid me.tal is a task for Her.cules. (THE MODERATION, IT HATES ME!)

What makes you so sick of cards? Too much Blac.kjack? Anyways. I'm going to build the story. I'll show you later. This RPG is going to be in medieval times, correct?

Blunt should be changed to Blud.geon. Blud.geon is effective against platemail, as the shearing metal will add extra power behind the strike. Ineffective against flexible armors as it will only bruise.

Fist Weapons will be set into the same formula as the sword/mace/axe, and I guess would work. Axes are all-rounders. Pier.cing, as in daggers and arrows, are special as there is the chance that they can inflict critical hits, which are 3x in damage. It's a bit much I know, but it'll hurt more if you get hit in the neck than your armor.

If there is no bestiary I can work on it. I got a couple of books about monsters and such. I could get some ideas from there.

Yes. Change accepted. Bestiary soon, not quit to yet. Er, We already have a story, though it is open to revision.

Mind you, if you work on a beastiary, we'll also have to have a documentation of human foes as well.

I was also thinking of adding seperate plotlines that could somehow effect the end result.

I could think of a couple of those too. Just give me specifications or something. I can post it all on a seperate thread and link it here. (Ex. Name Level Weapons Attacks Location) So like.... Goblin Level 1 A Wooden Club Attack, Steal, Run The Great Plains Would this be a good format? Or no? If not, then I'll just keep sitting here randomly posting suggestionsxD

Story is somewhere around second page, though it could be on any page before fourth.

Moral. That's something we need. Moral. You know, the good, bad, and stuff. Let's not stick with the good-neutral-bad thing. This, as hello said, will affect the end result. Choices create that end result.

Nice story right there. I will edit and create it to a better story. Not changing any plot however. I'll be right back, I need to time to edit.

#34577120Tuesday, September 28, 2010 10:06 PM GMT

Would be interesting, but you would need some admins to monitor morale choices, make some individual endings, and create like morale choices and a morale compass. It would be quite a bit of work. Of course, it is possible:P

Don't forget: You can be many things: But the most fun way is usually being the grudgingly helpful jerk. "We're gonna have a diplomatic incident, because it's a BIG, STUPID JELLYFISH!" ~ Commander Shepard: Jerk Extraordinaire

I remember a moral compass. Top was Unity. Bottom was Chaos. Left was Evil. Right was Good. Just because you're good doesn't mean your chaotic.
