We know about the special shape parts (such as WedgePart and TrussPart,) so why not add a GearPart? They could mesh together (with a hinge in the middle) like a machine to work... like a machine. yeah. |

Support. Note to people that will say the topic is irrelevant: It isn't. The idea has something to do with Gears, just not the kind you were thinking of. |

I like it, but I have a a doubt in my mind that could cause some lag. Like, in gear test places when there is to much gear. |

gear test places...? |
|
|
Title is misleading, lol
Ok I guess we could use machine gears. |
|
JamieBindJoin Date: 2008-10-18 Post Count: 4795 |
It IS an epic gear idea, is it not?
It's an idea for GearParts. |
|
rayco1Join Date: 2008-06-08 Post Count: 1309 |
The title is NOT misleading. It perfectly states the idea, a gear is the idea. Or more specifically, a cog. |
|
JamieBindJoin Date: 2008-10-18 Post Count: 4795 |
oya, that's what they're called.
also @mach why not? |
|
nug123Join Date: 2008-07-07 Post Count: 332 |
@JamieBind
If there were to many GearParts, like when there is too much gear at gear test places, it could cause major lag. |
|
JamieBindJoin Date: 2008-10-18 Post Count: 4795 |
The gear I'm talking about seems different from the gear you're talking about. A GearPart would be like a specially-shaped brick, like a WedgePart or a TrussPart. |

Good idea, but if special parts are made the way I think they are then that many collision boxes could cause lag. |

Gear Idea is okay... But the title is spam, do not post spam titles! |
|
JamieBindJoin Date: 2008-10-18 Post Count: 4795 |
IT'S NOT SPAM! IT'S AN EPIC GEAR IDEA! Just not the gear you were thinking of. |

I support. But you guys should already know that =D |
|
JamieBindJoin Date: 2008-10-18 Post Count: 4795 |
The collision parts WOULD cause lag... but I think it'd be negligable at best. Like if you have a bunch of cancollide false bricks. They add to the lag amount, but it's just a bit more than if they weren't cancollide false. And then think about the benefits: more realistic tycoons, actual conveyer belts, more steampunk-based places... the list goes on and on!

going to the up... this thread keeps getting into near-deadly accidents, we should do something about it. I already had to dig it from its grave once...

supportd, and i got a gear idea that follows this, Flail.
slot of you know what they aree, the classic wooden handle, and chain connected to a big spikd ball. xD |
|
JamieBindJoin Date: 2008-10-18 Post Count: 4795 |
the GearPart isn't a spiked ball (they could just mesh that), it's an actual GEAR, (or cog, if you're still confused)
And just so you know, I'm not pro-gear.

jacob726Join Date: 2008-07-24 Post Count: 10732 |
i was giving an idea possible wi this, these(if im thinking right) allows it to bend, correct? if so, then they could use this for the chain on it. |
|
JamieBindJoin Date: 2008-10-18 Post Count: 4795 |
No, you're thinking of a chain. That's already kinda possible with hinges. |
