@bolt999 He was in the Dire Straits but also had some amazing solo stuff. Just look up "Dire Straits- Sultans of Swing" and listen to the guitar solo.

He wasn't really all that underrated, although he may be in a mildly obscure dadrock band... Most dads(moms?) and dadrock enthusiasts will know who he is. An underrated guitarist could be anyone, the more obscure the best. Possibly Be-Bop Deluxe's Mick Ronson guitarist sound-alike Bill Nelson would be both amazing and incredibly underrated.
