Have you seen the roblox sun/moon??
It's just like dynamic lighting!
It wont cause lag because it's already there. We just cant acsess it. |

@alif
EXACTLY!
It is already there,we just can't access it.
BUT there are some problems with the sun/moon.
It shines through bricks,and is not localized so you can't make it only in one area and dark in another. |

It would cause lag, as ROBLOX would need to calculate millions of neutrons and their locations. |

Again,only on crappy computers...the only reason to complain about it causing lag is if you have a windows 98 or a newer computer that is FLOODED with viruses and can't even open the internet without crashing. |

Yeah that sounds like a good idea actually. I support. |

After a little visit in wikipedia and the physics forum, the photon is massless which makes it go in the speed of light, and as said in the physics forum, THATS what makes light, and it is not just one, its a group of them going in one certain frequency to make the color of the light, once there are plenty of groups that each goes in a certain frequency you will see more, depending what frequency is that.
We cannot see beyond a certain range of colors, like ultra purple is one of them, so is Xray and gamma rays(yes they are not just radiation :D) and once an object interrupts, it ripples, and some groups start to be sucked into it, and in water they split by a chance as well. |

Calculation?
Dude you do not even know how hard it is to make that calculation in games, since I never seen a source code or and engine even MENTIONING somethign from our existence. |

In the short term, I have a low lag faux lighting system. It uses decals, and actually works pretty well |

I have seen rip off evrsions of your decal based lighting system |
