The 2 frigates, Germania and Savannah came up and hovered close to the city. The 50mm autocannons fired on the Rebel positions. I jumped into the transport seat of a hog. The warthogs drove over on the bridge. A rocket missed the lead hog by 3 feet. |

The rebels on the other side of the bridge fired at the lead hog I was in. A stray bullet shattered the winshield. I aimed and fired at one of the rebels. The bullet went straight into his forehead. The chaingun in the back fired on the rebels. A burst of autocannon fire hit the rebel side of the bridge. A arm smacked into the front of the hog with a sickening crack. The arm flew under the tires of the hog. A rebel got up and started running but got crushing under the hog with a loud CRACK! |

I watched the road with slight horror. This part of the bridge was completly smeared with blood. A huge dark red puddle streached on for 9 feet. A rebel was retreating. I pulled out my M6D and shot him in the back of the head. The machine gunner mowed down several other rebels. I looked behind us and the warthog's tire marks were stained red. We were almost to the end of the bridge. |

I fire my rocket launcher out of a window in a office building. A Scorpion explodes, and I reload. I look around, and see about 10 warthogs, 8 Longswords, 10 shortswords, 14 mongooses coming our direction. "Grimes, sir, we may have a situation...we DO have a situation." I say over the radio. |

A UNSC Elephant-Class Transport drives down the street of the Rebel City, UNSC Marines are firing at the rebels, and there is a scorpion tank in the cargo bay, it exits and shoots a rebel posistion, revealing a few devestated men. I get out of the Elephant with a squad of ODSTs, firing at the rebels. |

I charge forward towards the elephant, but stop in cover before I reach the scorpion, no one notices me. I sneak up behind the elephant, and throw a thermite grenade into the cockpit. Bullets sear threough my body and leg, but I still turn around shakily (still behind the scorpion) and kill three marines before they finally gt a fatal shot. I fall down, and a red tunnel and a high pitched whistle cover everything else, and I laugh to myself when I hear the scorpions driver scream as the hot thermite expands and envelopes the whole cockpit, destroying the tank and killing the driver. An electrical short ignites the thermite and the tank goes up in flames. |

I run up to the pale green pelican that just nosed over into a skyscraper. The rear is open, and I slowly walk inside, M90 at the ready. I see a spartan, and gasp. I move up to the cockpit to see both pilots are dead. The marine in the back in dead as well. I pick up the radio, and a RebelHog parks, Armored side back, to the pelican. |

A freight with the exterior sections grey and middle orange flys in over the city, opposite from the Frigates. Pods open, and approx. 160 Archer missles impact the UNSC vessels. Both freighters release fighters and pelicans to reinforce the rebels, and it fires 80 missles. All out, but the Frigates are heavily damaged. Escape pods fire off from non-essential compartments. |
