Hey you... when you get to the end of a difficult obby and all you get is a badge... is that satisfying enought for you? If not then why dont you have the ability to reward you with a badge and a T-shirt (like an obby vip/winners) shirt for all your hard work. If you don't agree with this then thats your choce.

I know that some people somehow scripted badges in such a way, that you earn something. And you can get those thing in any server. Example: Legends Arena II: Celestial Sword. Getting a silver weapon results in getting a badge. If you have that badge, you get that weapon automatically.
