I sat on the roof of a supposedly 'hidden' jeep in the middle of a pine wood. If this jeep was the right jeep, I knew exactly who would be coming. |

I fully realized that the Desparadoes would come here, and probably think I was an enemy to boot. However, the Desperadoes paid the best for mercenary work. They were isolated from all other factions, and other factions preferred to do their work themselves. |

I pear out over the edge of the gully, with the brambles I had strapped to my helmet looking for all the world like a walking bush. I checked throguh my scope on the location I had thought I had put the jeep... there were two people there. Didn't recognize their colors. I started to line up a bead on the one with the rifle. Right as I pulled the trigger a man jumped on me from behind and the bullet sailed a few feet off course. The man pulled back and I was wrenched to the ground. He was raising a scythe over me. In an eyeblink I have my pistol out and firing up through his jaw. The thunder of the Desperado pistol ringing into the valley with the pines. But my opponent was dispatched and the contents of his head splattered over the side of the gully. (all of that took place in a few seconds.) I started to scramble for my Recon. |

The thunder ofa desparado attracted my attention. (That was too much hassle to put the "journal" up XD) I was an expert in the sounds of the various weapons, and knew that was a Desparado, possibly the one I had been following earlier. I put my rifle away hurriedly, and waited to see what would happen next. |

I grabbed the recon and I set up to try for another shot I only had seconds before they moved, he had put his gun away... not hostile maybe? I lowered the recon. |

I scrambled behind the jeep, my Recon fully ready. Someone had tried to take a shot at me... Well, they were in for a surprise. A Merc in this world is not to be trifled with. |
