A simple and basic topic to start off. The concept is to make a system that would allow you to go back and edit a post you have made on a thread. There isn't much else to it so, it sounds like it would be a solid, non-time consuming, easy project to finish up. I'm sure many of the proper grammar supporters on roblox and the forums would support the thought. I think this idea deserves some deep consideration from the Roblox Staff and if you agree please post.

Agreeable, and this has been suggested before. [101% Support]

Do you not even think of the downfalls before you post? What if a player posts something that goes agaisnt the rules then edits their post to avoid being banned, huh?

There's already a filter if they're not suppose to post something. This is also why we have moderators. The staff has already taken care of those problems.

I would have edited the post above to say this but, if they went to go back and change it that is a GREAT THING. They still deserve punishment but, they know not to leave something. Believe it or not you just revealed a benefit of the "Post Editing System".

If I steal $1,000 from a bank, then give it all back, should I go unpunished? No. What's done is done; harm has taken it's affect. Do not pray for easier lives; pray for stronger men. What I said should be the EXACT reason why it shouldn't be made. If somebody broke a rule, they should be punished.

When I first saw this, I thought it said "Edible Posts" so I was like, "Huh? That doesn't make sense..." and then I read it again.... Anyways, at some occasions, this would be bad. For example, if someone makes a spelling mistake that makes it offensive, people flame the thread, the spelling mistake is edited and revised, and then people are left wondering, "Huh? What are these people talking about?" Also, this could make it so people could break rules and then change the post before the report goes through.

Ok, first off, like the "Bank" you stole from this website has security restrictions. As in preventing you to break the rules. If you manage to say something vulgar and get it pass the restraints it would be the moderators job to correct it. If that fails they could create a feature that allows the moderators to look at the un-edited posts. Hey, mabey instead of complaining about the problems the Post Editing System would have, you could help me solve them and then think of more.

"it would be the moderators job to correct it." -- What do you mean by "correct it"? "If that fails they could create a feature that allows the moderators to look at the un-edited posts." -- And how do you suppose they do that? -_- "Hey, mabey instead of complaining about the problems the Post Editing System would have, you could help me solve them and then think of more." -- You ignorant child. If you had any understanding of what I'm doing, you would know that I'm helping you.

Perfect example above. He could think of something later, come back and edit it to actually put something clever and logical right there.

Well, in point of fact, I just said that to make it seem like it wasn't out of the blue. I wouldn't have edited it if I could have. I just psycho from pumpkin pie with cool whip and snicker brownies (It's a recipe that my mom has). Just saying.....

1. By correct it I mean take proper action. What they should do given their jobs' requirements.

"He could think of something later, come back and edit it to actually put something clever and logical right there." -- Yes, I must say there are numeral benefits for this suggestion, yet there are flaws that counteract those benefits. If a player breaks a rule, then edits their post, they avoid being banned.

@hunter7777, There are hundreds of threads being made every minute. I doubt a Moderator will be able to see every single thread at once and take action. And there is not a Moderator on the forums at all times.

Beep, I'm honestly trying to figure a simple solution to the problem you've thrown at me but, so far I've just got to instead of going back and clicking on something to view a post like that(Like you may have been thinking) It would just be viewable to moderators right when they enter the page. I.e. What we would see: Edited Icon* "You know what you're just a noob." What Moderators would see: Un-Edited Post- (Vulgar Comment) "____________" Edited Post: "You know what you're just a noob." Thats all I got for now unfortunately.

Not exactly possible on the Forum system ROBLOX uses. For ROBLOX uses a free Forum system they got off the internet, a very popular one that is.

You have to already face the fact that most moderators won't correct most of the vulgar things kids type to one another now a days. So think though, this gives them a chance to fix things and make them right. I believe in giving people second chances this also allows them one.

"You have to already face the fact that most moderators won't correct most of the vulgar things kids type to one another now a days." -- You sir, are a complete utter failure and should get off the forums, ignoranus. You lack the understanding and knowledge to make a decent argument, let alone a suggestion. It's not a fact, it's an assumption. See the report button? Yeah, USE IT. They hire Moderators specifically for reports, dingnut. "I believe in giving people second chances this also allows them one." -- Don't pray for easier lives; pray for stronger men.

Well, even basic things can take time. Remmeber that this is just an idea, and that many of the concepts on this forum(The ones that are recognized as good ones by the staff) still take a deal of time until they come to fruition.

I pray for more people who don't complain at others if they send out an idea that isn't even neccesary, I don't require anymore of your critisism. From this point on if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all. Or you may continue to be rude and we will test your theory on the report abuse button.
