Like most of the Krakor Dragon Kings had, Asae had once been a soldier in the Krakor Dragon army. This is a story about way back then, when Asae fought in the great battle of Angolia.

Asae sat waiting, unable to sleep. He knew they would engage the Angolian army tomorrow. The army had provoked war on the army of king Mirkran,The king would never provoke any type of violence. Gallagher Asae's best friend was snoring soundly on the bunk above Asae. After falling asleep that night he had vivid dreams of the oncoming battle. |

Asae woke to a ringing bell the day of the battle,whenever the army camped near a battlefield the bell always woke them up early to prevent surprise attacks.Asae put on his armor, then slid his two razor-thin green-bladed swords into their sheaths at his sides.Then they all started towards their places in the ranks of the army. Asae took his place beside Gallagher but far enough away so that they had room to spread their wings.
"Good luck." Gallagher said holding his gold bladed broadsword at the ready. Just then king Mirkran flew overhead and let out a fearocious battle call, the whole army,in unison, took off after him.
Tidbit:I am Gallagher
Tidbit:all Krakor Dragons have blades that match their scales thus Gallagher having a gold blade and Asae's being green.

Asae held his swords at the ready as the two armies drew close, and closer in midair. With a loud clang the two armies clashed for a first blow. A few were killed or wounded, but the ones that weren't flew upside down over the other dragons and continued behind them, this way there was a constant stream of attack. On the front row's third run Asae saw Ricaflour, the Angolian's leader, slay one of his own warriors so that he could take his place to be straight in line with King Mirkran. The two leaders sped up so that they would meet first. Asae watched as a blade was ddriven into the king, and he spireled down out of sight.

Asae thrust one of his swords into his opponent then grabbed it quickly and went after King Mirkran as he fell from the sky. Out of the corner of his eye he saw that Gallagher had a wounded wing and was landing so he knew he would not have help from him.He landed right beside King Mirkran but the moment he saw him he knew it was beyond his power, or anyones, to save the king.
"Asae..." King Mirkran said slowly."...you have fought very bravely in the time I have known you, and...." the king was struggling to speak."...and I wish you to...to...to become the next King of the Krakor Dragons." He finally finished then placed his hand on Asae.The Great King Mirkran breathed no more. |
