I let Torchic out and he bounced onto my shoulder. He loved being outside.
I just walked on, hoping to find a pokemon to battle and catch. My parents had given me 3 Pokeballs for my birthday. |

I looked at the two pokeballs I had. One was my Mudkip's, the other was an empty one. I walked on, increasing my pace, hope to find someone or something. |

"A Poochyena!" I yelled. I heard those things weren't the easiest to find here. My yell startled my Mudkip, making him fall off of my head. "S-Sorry, Kipster." I said, calling him by his nickname. I placed him back on my head. |
