I stood atop a skyscraper called "The Man in the Moon" for its height. It was freezing in New York at the time, and I had to hug my arms around my body to keep warm. Conway stood next to me, staring dramatically out in the distance, at the city he couldn't see. Or maybe that was just his regular face. It didn't matter at the time. He was first to speak. "So...when will it...you know--" "Christmas Eve," I interrupted in my thick New York accent, sighing. "The whole place comes down. What do we do? They have Dani." He shrugged and ran a hand through his thick blonde hair. Mine was blowing loose in the wind, thick black waves flying through the bitter chill. I suddenly looked up at him. "Conway...remember Dani's...project?" "No, no, no. A million times no, Diana. It hits anyone within a short distance...we don't even know how far, and..." I listened to him ramble on for a while, then decided to stop pretending to listen. "Shut up! I know what I'm doing. Quit nagging, I'll make it work." Conway rolled his eyes. He hated the edge my accent added to my voice. "Whatever, Di, but this is on you." I smiled, then went down to the metal staircase running around the edge of the building to the ground, guiding Conway. My half-brother, and blind. We would stop the bomb from blowing, I knew it, but who knows the cost? A few "powers" given to nearby citizens. I read Dani's file a while later. "Gives anyone within the blast radius a special 'power' based on past experience or personality." I smirked. Perfect.

Appearance: Michael stands at 5'8 with an average build. He is Caucasian, with an average skin tone. His eyes are dark brown, and his facial features are aristocratic. His nose is convex. Michael's hair is black and unkempt, and falls to his shoulders. He has a full black beard.
For clothing, Michael has a white sleeveless shirt below a dirty brown jacket, with cloth fingerless gloves and slightly ripped dark blue jeans. He has dark gray, dirty shoes.
Personality: Michael is determined beyond rationality to get what he wants, and is fairly polite. He is a bit paranoid, and hesitant to trust others unless in a bad situation.

(Accepted, and we can start.)
Conway and I walked down the street beside the traffic, looking at the building that was in danger. Large and populated. I sighed and shook my head. I was looking for other people effected by our blast. |
(Where should bad start? Abandoned warehouse? :3) |
(Dakota, you can start anywhere you want. Street, warehouse, skyscraper, store, anywhere.) |
I stood on the top floor of the Empire State building, staring out into the busy streets, thinking, about nothing specific. |
I looked up at Conway. "Does it bother you that you can't see?" I asked. Sensitive topic. Oh well, too late. He shrugged. I sighed again, only trying to ease the tension by idle conversation. |

Michael was sitting with his legs crossed in an alleyway, an open box levitating above his lap. He stared at it with interest. |
I sighed and took the elevator down to the bottom floor. I stepped out of the building, and walked down the street to my car, an old 94' ford. |
"Conway, stop," I muttered, holding an arm out in front of him. I took a sharp turn into an alley, leaving him behind. He groped around and eventually caught up. "What do you have there?" I asked, gesturing at the box. My first step to finding the effected people. |

Michael glanced up surprised. He hesitantly replied. "E-erm, I'm not sure... I-I think I'm making it hover." he explained, though he doubted his sanity. |
"So, um..." I said, not wanting to seem to obvious. Conway cut in. "Were you out on the sidewalk near a short building at, say, 7:34? I hit him in the chest. "Idiot," I mumbled. |

Michael grew suspicious. He slowly narrowed his eyes. "Yeees. Why?" he asked. |

I stomped on Conway's foot. He swore. "SERIOUSLY?" I shook my head and rolled my eyes. He wasn't the sneaky one. I shrugged at the man. "Curious." |

Michael slowly settled back down, but was still suspicious of these two newcomers. "Why aren't you a bit more... Curious, about this?" he asked. |
