This is a story I'm working on, about how my group (The Midnight Saviors) came to be. Please note this entire story, along with the characters are all FICTIONAL, that means nobody in the story is real, and nothing in the story has every really happened. Lemme know what you think. Part One: Captured Kyle's alarm clock whined at him, as it blinked the time, and the date: 6:21 07/26/2110. He woke up and jumped out of bed. "Overslept again!" He muttered to himself and he began getting ready for school. He threw on some fairly clean clothes, inhaled some cereal, and ran out the front door. He stood at the sidewalk for a short time before the school bus flew down the street. Kyle jumped on and ran to the seat next to his best friend, Peter. "Last day of school." Peter said. "Yup." Kyle responded. "Finally gonna talk to her?" Peter asked. "I dunno..." Kyle responded, unsure of himself. "Last chance before you head off to the academy." Peter told him. They'd had this conversation a thousand times, but Kyle couldn't do it, he was too scared. "Maybe after school." Kyle mumbled, hoping this would be good enough to take Peter's mind off the subject. "If you don't," Peter started, "I might have to do it for you." Kyle pictured Peter doing it, and shuttered at the thought. At least if she mocks me, Kyle thought to himself, She'll never have to see me again. Kyle was going to the Intergalactic Defensive Academy after he finished school, he'd become a great hero, defending the station from the Shadow Hawks, and he'd never have to worry about what the people back home were thinking about him. The Shadow Hawks had taken over most of the USA, making it into their own nation. They'd kidnap children from each station and train them to be their new recruits. There were around 30 stations left in the USA unharmed by the Shadow Hawks. That number was about to drop. School began as it usually did, Kyle finished his classes, and stood outside the school waiting. He didn't realize this would be his last chance. It wasn't long before she came out, with her big group of friends. Jamie Dawn was, in Kyle's opinion, the prettiest girl in school. She was one of the brightest students, getting straight A's in all her classes, and she had an amazing singing voice. Kyle nearly fainted once when she was preforming in a school play, although he'd been 8 at the time. Now Kyle was a 16 year old, and he was scared to death at the thought of speaking to her. He was preparing himself for the most terrifying thing he'd ever done, but something didn't seem right. Kyle looked up at the sky, it was darker than usual. It almost seemed like something was casting a huge shadow over the school, then it occurred to him: He had a friend who'd almost been kidnapped by the Shadow Hawks once, Max, who told him at his old school, they kidnapped all the boys on their day of school. Kyle looked closer and he couldn't believe what he saw. Hundreds of small, one man space cruisers were flying down, directly toward his school. They looked like they were prepared to kidnap everyone at school. Kyle panicked. He ran toward Peter and told him quickly about the ships. Peter started getting people's attention, telling them the Shadow Hawks were coming, and within a few moments, most the school had been evacuated. That's when things went wrong. Kyle and Peter were getting the last few kids on the bus before they got on when a lazer cannon fired at the bus, frying the engine. The Shadow Hawks seemed pretty angry about the lack of students. Kyle pulled out his Plasma Sword, an invention he made himself, and prepared to fight off the Shadow Hawks. I've done scarier things, Kyle thought to himself, but he couldn't think of anything scarier then facing off with hundreds of fully trained killers. A couple ships landed. The Shadow Hawks that came out were not at all what Kyle thought they'd be. Two overweight men in Black outfits tumbled over carrying Scatter guns. Kyle pointed his sword at them and yelled "Back off!" he wondered why he'd said something so stupid, and almost forgot to dodge their shots. He dodged a few red plasma bolts, and one hit his leg. Pain burned through his leg as he lost his balance and tumbled to the ground. The Shadow Hawks smiled, as they walked toward him. Kyle wasn't going down this easy. He swung his sword and whacked the first one to the ground. Unfortunately, he wasn't allowed to carry a fully-powered plasma sword with him at school, so he didn't have much to work with. He still managed to knock the second Shadow Hawk unconscious. Kyle thought he was doing well, until he realized he stood no chance. Ten more Shadows Hawk Cruisers were landing, and more Shadow Hawks came out of them. A dozen more came. Then a dozen more. Kyle tried to get up and run, but his leg still burned from being blasted. He stood for about three seconds, then stumbled back down. He crawled toward the bus, which still had a couple dozen students in it, including Jamie, Max, and Peter. Kyle was almost to the bus, when something hit him in the back of the head, and everything went black.

Okay, here's Part Two, Please comment, and tell me what you thought. I want to know what people think of it, and I need to know I'm not the only one who read it. Part Two: Resistance Kyle woke up, and realized where he was instantly. There was a very rusty metal sign on the ground that said "Welcome to NYC!" The Shadow Hawk Headquarters, Kyle thought to himself. They must think we're pretty good. Kyle got up off the dry road, and looked around. The giant walls around the city gave Kyle a feeling he might never see his home again. He noticed an old man, sitting on the sidewalk wearing ragged old clothes. Naturally, Kyle went see what was wrong with him. "Why are you sitting there?" Kyle asked. "Who?" The old man responded. "You." Kyle said. "Is there something wrong with sitting on a sidewalk?" The old man questioned. "Uh, no, I guess..." Kyle answered, feeling a bit awkward about it. "So, who are you?" "The name's Frank." The old man replied, as cheerful as ever, he acted like he'd just seen something amazing. "You must be the new guy." "Yeah, I guess," Kyle started, "But where are the others?" "Others?" Frank asked, "You're the only new guy here. The rest got shipped off to the California base." Kyle suddenly became sick to his stomach. What if I never see Peter again? He thought, Or Max, or Jamie. Just then Frank perked up and said quickly, "They did bring a few others, the Hawks took them to the hospital." "Where's the hospital?" Kyle asked faster than he'd ever said anything before. "Over th-" Before Frank could finish, Kyle ran in the direction he'd been pointing. Kyle ran into the hospital, and found out where the others were. He rushed into the room, to find Peter, Max, and Jamie all crowded around an injured Shadow Hawk. "Guys!" Kyle shouted, "What are you doing here?" "We were picked to be their new doctors," Peter said, clearly not happy with their choice. "Apparently we aren't good enough for combat." "What's going on here?" Kyle asked. "Good question," A man said, as he walked into the room. "I'm glad you're up, Midnight." "Who?" Kyle questioned, the Shadow Hawk on the hospital bed was out cold. "You, Kyle Black." The man continued, "You are now to be known as Midnight Savior. You are going to be a commander of the new wing of the Hawks." "You're crazy if you think I'm going to work for." Kyle smirked. "Perhaps," the man continued, "But you have no choice." The man walked over to Jamie and smiled cruely. "I'm sure your friends won't miss you." Max gave Kyle a concerned look. The man walked over to the unconscious Shadow Hawk, and Max went over to Kyle. "He'll kill anyone who refuses." Max whispered to Kyle. "Anyways," The man started, "If it's a deal breaker, I'll let your friends switch to your post with you." He seemed rather nice for a crazed psycho. "Fine." Kyle muttered, "I'll do it." The man smiled at Kyle, as if he knew something terrible would happen because Kyle had said that. "So..." Kyle said awkwardly, "Who are you?" "I am Albert Hawks." The man announced proudly, "And I am the founder of the Shadow Hawks." When Kyle left the hospital, he noticed the old man, Frank, was still sitting on the sidewalk. He seemed happy to see Kyle, which was weird, because they'd only known each other for about five minutes. "It's up to you." Frank smiled, "You're going to save us all." Kyle didn't know what to say to that, so he remained silent. He walked by and tried not to make eye contact. The next day, Kyle awoke in his assigned room in the training center. He had five different combat classes, each gave him cuts and bruises. Kyle loved training for combat, but he hated the Shadow Hawks. They wouldn't let him call his friends by their real names, they had to go by their code names, Kyle was called Midnight Savior, Peter was called Dark Thunder, Max was Cosmic Elite, and Jamie was Poison Bird. None of them were allowed to choose code names, nor were they allowed to change them. Then there were the uniforms. Everyone was forced to wear the same dull black uniform, the only unique thing about it was the rank symbol, Kyle's had a red X, which he figured meant recruit. After the first week of training, Kyle decided he'd had enough. He told Peter to meet him in the alley near Frank, who hadn't moved an inch since they got there. "We need to get out of here, Peter." Kyle whispered. "Shh!" Peter warned, "You'll get mop duty for a month if the admirals hear you use my real name!" "We don't have to do this!" Kyle said, a bit louder than the last time, "We can rebel!" "But the Shadow Hawks are the strongest army in history!" Peter exclaimed. "Then lets make history," Kyle said, plotting in his head, "Lets destroy the Shadow Hawks." Frank smiled, as he got up and walked toward the boys. "It's about time." He said, "I was starting to think you were the wrong boy."
