Please help!! I can't join any games

I just ran a bunch of Norton anti-virus stuff and it really seemed to speed up my PC. The only problem is that I can't join any games. When I click on the Play button it seems to push down, but nothing happens. This happends with all games. Could someone please help me? I can't figure it out, oh yeah, plus YouTube videos will not play. Do you think this is related to the same problem?
