I've noticed that ROBLOX has come so far in popularity, yet there isn't even a microphone chat set up yet. I would like to suggest allowing a microphone chat for players who have microphones or headsets, so in-game communication could be much easier. I find it difficult to walk and chat at the same time, with having to drop everything I'm doing just to say something. Developing a microphone chat feature could help players communicate with each other easily, especially if the goal of the game played requires a teamwork effort. If you are concerned for players speaking with strangers, I've planned something out for the safe chat. Players who have safe chat cannot respond with a microphone, and players with super safe chat cannot both hear or respond with a microphone. There are many online games that use microphone chats, games such as: World of Warcraft, Combat Arms, Counter-Strike, Team Fortess 2. |

No. You cant report them and there are always gonig to be kids screaming their heads off. |

First of all, this idea has been suggested millions of times. Second of all, people chatting over microphone can't me monitored, so Moderators can't see what people are saying, and people could say bad stuff. So if the Mods were going to make this idea already, they would've.

@op
It'd still be extremely inefficient. You can't moderate real time. No support. |

How could they pick up what someones saying if theyre blurring it?

A sound log? Lolno. People would swear and scream. This has been suggested so many times before, and the admins always ignore Voice Chat suggestions. |
|
|
A log? Like, the computer keeps track of what they have said? Or what people have said. Maybe, but this would mean alot of moderators would have to listen to every player who has used the microphone on ROBLOX, and there are bound to be alot of players that would use microphone on ROBLOX. |

HEY GUYS. HERE'S A THOUGHT.
I've seen this thread so many times and no one has suggested this. I understand a lot of the users on here have lied about their age but maybe if the age is like 13 you can voice chat?
And why not have an auto mute thing that like when a shrieking ragenerd reaches a certain volume for an extended amount of time they just get muted for like 5 minutes? |
|

Yeah, and it will also annoy alot of people if they keep on hearing people talking when they don't want to hear them talking, but they still want to hear the game. If this idea goes through (which it wont) it should have a button that lets you not hear what everyone is saying over the microphone. |

Thats actually a good idea, maybe you can even chose a players name and choose to ignore him. This shouldnt be too hard to put, I mean it wouldnt be the first time a game got microphone chat. Oh and when a person blurs out(or censors) a bad word he said, thats kind of the equivelent to someone typing an alternative for a bad word in text, such as the '@' symbol replacing the 'a' in the word that rhymes with 'may' and refers to a man of a certain.....type |

Problem. The games you mentioned are mainly for older kids. You know how they communicate, often paired with swearing.
ROBLOX is ment for younger kids as well. Mic-chat does not combine easily with that.
Also, it is impossible to moderate. |

that would be dangerous. we would have little kids whining and learning new swears and the ocasional audio rick rolling. maybe if would be better if people gave out a script that would protect you from taking damage while talking |

I WOULD support if this wasn't so exploitable. |

*SHRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEK* *Person playing on roblox with a mic and people are watching a innapropriate movie near him and the cusses get in the mic* *Playing music with innapropriate lyrics* Way to many ways to annoy the SOUL out of a person. No support. |

Nope. Swearing, no moderation, muting would be hard to script, and most of all, MIC SPAM. |
|
|
Have you noticed that games like Counterstrike that have Microphone Chat have no moderation WHATSOEVER? That's cause moderating sound is impossible. You're also gonna have people screaming, it'll be hard to hear people, it could give away personal information, and not all computers are built to have microphone additions. |
