Support; you could also have a setting that changes the way it falls, if you use a shotgun downwards the bullets would split up into a cone, right?

I like some of the idea. Here's what I don't like: Collision. Even if it dissapeared on impact it would cause massive lag... But I've got some ideas too. Like, instead of downfall, you could CFrame for an exact dirrection like on the others and make a water jet! Also, instead of 3D particles they'd be 2D as everything else, as 3D causes lag. Sizeofparticles could be very good instead of viscosity.

And a distance property, as if it is 2D it means that it'll travel much, so a distance property should be set to prevent your confetty going under the stage.

Ok, read this post, unless you have a reasonable argument against it with your answer backed up with some sort of programming knowledge, this idea ends here, or you accept that collision is not possible for it. On my TWO DIMENSIONAL (roblox would be slower since it's three dimensional) C# game, I iterate a loop every frame to check for collisions. After a few thousand parts, each frame gets prety slow. Now, we'll call this 1000 per 1 lag point, where 10 lag points is unplayable. Now, C++ is significantly/slightly faster than C#, so we'll say half a lag point per 1000 2D blocks. Now, what if we made these shapes need to generate a random colour; that's one thing the processor needs to do, but that'd be relatively fast. Now, we need to update their positions. Assume none of them are dead yet, that doubles count to 2000 and would be at a lag point, along with updating two THOUSAND positions per frame, that'd be about three lag points, or the equivalent to 3,000 moving bricks at once. After a while, this is going to double again. This would crash the game. And that's only at 1,000 a minute. Imagine you have ten going. That's the equivalent to about 12,000 moving, physics-enabled shapes.

Much support. The possibilites are ENDLESS with this! You could make ... 1: Debris falling from a collapsing building. 2: As you said , colorful confetti for a party. 3: And even weather , such as snow , hail , or rain. I really like this idea.

i like this option but i have a new idea to add. there could be a climbability propety or something to make a ladder and stuff and we could turn thes into falling decals that disappeared after 2 seconds on the ground

Just edit smoke or fire, you can make either one fall rather than rise, like they did with frostbrand

@cybris, @rebel562 is right. it won't be same. if you edit smoke or fire, it won't make as epic of a waterfall. ---------------------------------------------- @rebel562, this thread is really popular, lets message a few admins and see if we can get this to happen.
