>_< This is almost impossible. I actually had a computer program try to do this and it didnt work. So i had to sit down and do it. It took 5 hours for me to make this up and check it 4 times. |

You can't permanenly solve a 2-variable equation
a + 4 = 8
well, a has to be 4. the only number you can add four to to make 8 is four itself.
a + b = 8
this however has Infinite solutions
0 and 8
1 and 7
2 and 6
3 and 5
4 and 4
5 and 3
6 and 2
7 and 1
8 and 0
9 and -1
10 and -2
11 and -3
12 and -4
13 and -5
See what I mean?

Ok, it eather does not work or it is this: a=x/3.5+4/7 If thats not it then this equatio0n does not work in the mathamatical world. |

Pi? |

Not enough information. Value of X is needed. |

Still no correct answer. Hint: If you try to do this in a calculator it is wrong. This is 2 complicated for a machine to figure it out. |
|
|
Of course it is. The calculator needs the values of the variables. A calculator (even a TI-Nspire or something like that) can't solve for variables without guess-&-check methods.
However, if X=1, then A=0.4285something. I don't feel like figuring the exact figure out at the moment. |

I guess a=9. I looked it up on google. I think I'm right. |
