[Quick note: I had to bypass the filter because of some numbers, sorry if the numbers look a bit odd] Prerequisites: A calculator (it’s better if you don’t use the one on your computer) Around 200 Robux. (Though no smaller than 20) A basic knowledge in math Helpful things that are not required, but are great to have: At least a basic understanding of economics The ability to read long articles An F5 key A semi-fast browser A cool head, so as to keep calm in intense situations Contents: Chapter 0: Common TC myths and TC lingo Chapter 1: Being familiar with the Trade Currency Chapter 2: Getting to the good stuff! Chapter 2a: Explanation of equations Chapter 2b: Utilization of equations Chapter 2c: Withdrawing trades Chapter 3: TCing like the pros! (Advanced techniques and methods) Chapter 4: TC etiquette Chapter 5: Closing comments Chapter 0 (Prologue): Common TC myths and TC 'special words' I know that many people reading this guide are already attempting to TC, quite possibly even experiencing success. However, if they came to read this, they came for a specific reason. I am guessing that one of the reasons is that I promised to teach how to profit off a negative spread (see Step 1 for further info on ‘spread’). Myth 1: It’s not possible to profit off a negative spread. Yes, yes it is. My guide teaches you how. Myth 2: The TC is ruined! Nope. The TC is perfectly fine, and does NOT need to be fixed. Myth 3: Someone put in a huge trade, and didn’t even allow the trades to be split! You can profit off this. I touch on this subject later in my guide. Myth 4: You cannot TC using market orders. I also touch on this briefly in my guide, though after reading my guide you probably won’t want to. =3 Words & their definitions: TCing: The art of using the TC to your advantage. Limit Order: A specific order of Robux into tix, or vice versa. Market Order: An instant trade, though unpredictable due to fluctuation of rates. Split Trades: An option to allow trading your currency with multiple people. Unless you’re intent on ‘jamming the TC’, make sure you allow them, as you get your money far more quickly. ‘Jamming the TC’: Entering a large amount of robux or tix and not allowing split trades. This allows large room for profit. ‘Jumping estimate’: Estimating how far ahead of the top rate to go numerically. (IE: Should I go .O5 or .O7 ahead of that guy?) Rates: A ratio of Robux to tix, or tix to robux. Spread: The difference between the top two rates on either column. TC war: When two or people get into a fight over the rates, and continually raise or lower the rates in an attempt to jump in front of each other. Chapter 1: Being familiar with the Trade Currency To use the TC, you first must know what the TC is, how to read it, and what it does. Most guides don’t have anything like this, which is what messes people up. If you can think for yourself, then you can accomplish far more, and adapt to almost any situation. So what DOES the TC do anyhow? Well, it basically exchanges one player’s currency with a different player’s currency. The important moneymaking part about the TC is the ability to create ‘Limit Orders’. This allows you to accurately trade your currency. Taking advantage of this, you are able to rack up quite a profit. First, go into the TC (Click your money in the upper right hand corner of your screen, and ‘click ‘Trade Currency’). You should see two columns on the sides, and a couple of boxes in the middle. The column on the left represents all the tix in the market at that given time. The one on the right represents all the robux in the market at any given time. The boxes in the middle are a bit more complicated. The one on top may seem a bit complex, but fear not, because it’s actually quite simple. =3 The things you need to pay attention to are the ‘rate’ and ‘spread’. The rate tells you the two closet trades [being traded] in relation to each other. It should be a one to two digit number, followed by three decimal places. What that tells you is how many tix/bux are being traded into the opposite currency now and for what number of the opposite currency in return. Remember that only one trade may take place on either column. The spread is the difference between the two rates we just talked about. You can get this number by subtracting the current tix rate from the current bux rate. You end up getting a negative number if the tix rate is higher. I’ll be getting to that later on in my guide. The next thing are those two columns on the sides. Those top trades on either side are what you see in the rate (see above). Remember, since the TC can only handle one trade at any given time from either column, you need to pay attention to these rates. The rest of the trades are basically ‘in line’, but remember that experienced TCers are rough, and often cut in line. This IS the fastest way to TC, and I highly recommend you do this once you are comfortable with TCing. If you scroll down a bit, you can see your trade history. But to get a trade history, first we have to trade! That brings us to the input boxes in the center of your screen. There are two ways to use the TC, Market order and Limit orders. You get instant results with the market order, but you may not be getting the best deal. With limit orders, it allows you to specifically tell the TC how much tix you want for a robuck, and vice versa. This is what you use to take advantage of the TC, and earn profit. To get to Limit orders, you should see a circle next to ‘Limit Order’ in that center box. Click it, and an extra input box should appear. It should be pretty straightforward from there. Just make sure you have the tabs on the right correctly adjusted (IE: Tix or Robux). [Note: When someone’s tix or robux is in the TC, the rate it’s being traded at will actually change. This is normal, as this is how the TC works. What happens when you use split trades: Your robux or tix are getting traded at a whole bunch of different rates, thus your rate will either go higher (if you’re trading tix) or lower (if you’re trading robux). THIS IS COMPLETELY NORMAL.] Chapter 2: Getting to the good stuff! Now we know what the TC is, but now we need to know how to use it! The basic concept behind profiting off the TC is making sure you trade your bux/tix for a positive difference. What this means is that if you trade 100 robux at a rate of, let’s say, 10.5, you need your tix traded back at a rate lower than that to ensure profit (like 10.25 as an example). The more money you use in the TC, the more profit you can earn. So how do we know what kind of rate we need? This is where our calculator comes in! Simply use both of these simple equations to transfer your trades (don’t worry, I’ll explain them in a second): When trading Tix into Robux: [Number of tix] / [Around .OO5 - .5 above the top rate] = [Number of robux] When trading Robux into Tix: [Number of Robux] * [Around .OO5 - .5 lower than the top rate] = [Number of Tix] You might be thinking something along the lines of “WAIT, WHAT THE HECK IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?!” I’ll explain. Chapter 2a So how and when do we use those equations? Well, first we need to identify if it’s a good time to TC. For beginners, I recommend a spread higher than 200 on either side of the number line (so that goes for -200 as well). ALSO REMEMBER TO CHECK THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TOP TWO RATES ON EITHER SIDE. If the rate is more than .05 less (or greater, depending on the column), just wait for that trade to ‘take’, or be exchanged. That’s where most people end up losing money, due to the fact that the rate will change (remember?). Chapter 2b So we’ve checked the rates, and they seem to be good. The spread is above 200, the rates on either side are really close, and we have 100 Robux ready to trade! Now we use that equation: When trading Robux into Tix: [Number of Robux] * [Around .OO5 - .5 lower than the top rate] = [Number of Tix] So, make sure you have the Limit orders box up (the one with two input boxes), and input ‘100’ in ‘What I’ll give’. Then, use the equation above to find the number of tix you want, and input that number into the ‘What I’ll get’ box. Here’s an example: **EXAMPLE**First, I look at the rates, and after refreshing the page a couple times, I’ve decided they are good, I go into limit orders, and click ‘allow Split Trades’. The rate is 1O.125 / 1O.5OO. I’m willing to trade 1,OOO Robux. I use my calculator to do the following: 1,OOO * 1O.495 = 1O,495. I input ‘1000’ into ‘What I’ll give’ and ‘1O495’ into ‘What I’ll get’, and click enter. I click ‘Yes’ on the prompt, and my trade is now in the TC! **EXAMPLE** Again, but in simple, easy-to-follow steps: Check rates Go to limit orders Ensure ‘Allow split trades’ is selected Decide how much to insert into the TC Use equation to transfer the rate into opposite currency Input numbers Press Enter Click ‘Yes’ Chapter 2c “DANG IT! SOMEBODY’S IN FRONT OF ME!!! /RAIG” This happens pretty often, since some people become impatient. All you need to do is go down to your trade history and click the ‘Open Robux/Tix Trades’ tab, identify your trade that you just input, and click ‘Cancel’. Then, simply recalculate to jump in front of the other person, and submit it. Go ahead and try TCing a few times! You now know how to TC the basic way! If you are losing money, make sure you are doing everything right by reading through the guide again. Chapter 3: TCing like the pros! (Advanced techniques and methods) For this chapter, you will need adequate TCing experience. If you are just learning how to TC, track or bookmark this thread for later. In this chapter, I intend to go over various techniques and methods in the TC. Many people are often mistaken, thinking there is only one way to profit off the TC, but in reality, there are far more than one. Technique 1: Lay low, profit high. This technique is for people who have large amounts of money, and want their trades to take much faster. Since smaller trades take a much faster time to transfer, and people tend to ‘line jump’ bigger trades, you’ll be dividing your money into smaller portions, so to be less inconspicuous. I would recommend amounts from 5k to 10k, but in the end it’s really just up to you. So how DO you divide them anyways? Say you had 35k Robux. You could easily just use a denominator, such as 5, and input them all separately. The trick is getting the same rate as you would with the large trade. I’m going to say we want a rate of 1:11, so it would just be 55k tix per trade, instead of 385k tix, which people would tend to line jump. It’s the same equation, but smaller portions of money. Technique 2: PB & JAM! That’s right, you can ‘jam’ the TC. Many people think this somehow ‘breaks’ it, but it does the opposite! All you need to do is input large amounts of Robux or tix into the TC without allowing split trades. If you do this on both sides, with a .25 difference or greater, it allows for massive profit. Just make sure not to put ALL your Robux or tix in, so that you can TC as well. Technique 3: Profit off a negative spread? IMPOSSIBLE! Actually, it is, though only at a certain time. This certain time is when the TC is ‘jammed’. Simply put, if the TC cannot perform the first trade in line’s request, then it skips to the second. So it’s really an imaginary positive spread. So when TCing when the TC is jammed, TC as normal, but use the SECOND rate as your starting point. Now, you might be thinking something like “HEY WAIT, YOU SAID YOU COULD PROFIT OFF ANY NEGATIVE SPREAD!” I did in fact not. Besides, after observing the rates, you wouldn’t end up trading anyways. Technique 4: Slow go on the…trades? Yup, for people that have immense patience, or simply don’t want to fight with the more aggressive TCers, this is the choice for you! Simply try to estimate which way the TC will tip (high or low), and make a trade that anticipates that tip. In other words, If the TC is at 1:9, and is rising, put in a 1:10 trade. But remember to write the trade down Technique 5: Luck O’ teh Robloxian! This is very similar to Technique 4, except instead of estimate a tip in the TC, you estimate other peoples’ misfortune. First, think about a common error when TCing, like typing too fast. Someone might forget to switch the Tickets/Robux tabs next to the input boxes, and they may end up trading 100 Tickets for 1000 Robux. This technique really just requires luck on your part. Technique 6: TCing using Market Orders This technique is for the people who STILL don’t understand the TC. Basically, the easy way out. It just requires patience, lots of F5ing, and a guide, which I won’t post here. Simply because I think it’s inefficient, and unpredictable. Technique 7: NBC donating Yes, using the TC, it IS possible to NBC donate to people, though both parties need to know how to TC. All you need is a ridiculously random trade number, and match it on both sides. For instance, say someone wanted to donate an NBCer 100 Robux. Well, since people might be using Technique 5, you’ll need to be random, so that you don’t end up donating to other people by mistake. So you could input 103 Robux for 4 Tix. And the receiving NBCer could put in 4 Tix for 103 Robux. [Note: Make sure you’re both online at the same time, know the EXACT number you’re trading with, and submit the trades within a couple of minutes of each other, preferably shorter. This just ensures you both get the trade you agreed on.] Technique 8: ZOMGBIGSPREAD The title should speak for itself, this is when the spread gets so inflated the profit is immense. There really isn’t one way to do it, you just TC as fast as you can and hope for the best. The only tips I can really give you on this is to go a bit higher (or lower) in your ‘jumping estimate’ to compensate for everyone else doing the same. Chapter 4: TC etiquette There really isn’t any, you just kind of push and shove your way to the top of the column. Though I would lay off in the event of a ‘TC war’, so as not to lower the spread by very much. Chapter 5: The end Remember to have fun while rolling in the dough, and to recommend my thread to others! =3
