I mean, their pretty much paying us to follow Brighteyes. I mean, i know there are moral ways of buying publicity (advertising) but I feel like this is more of a bribe than anything else. |

They're paying us to follow Brighteyes? |

SamacadoJoin Date: 2008-02-16 Post Count: 25119 |
Uhm, no it doesn't bother me at all. |
|
|
I still don't see where they said you get money for following Brighteyes on twitter. I still followed BrightEyes, 'cause my friend told me to.
@Samacado: Gimme a promotion in VS
OT: I'm calling MrNicNac an 'it' from now on, 'cause not even it knows what gender it is :o |

Since when did we get monies for following BrightEyes? |
|
CuylerJoin Date: 2006-02-27 Post Count: 3784 |
We follow BrightEyes > She gets more publicity > Roblox gets more publicity > More people join > People buy BC > They get money
Their paying us... in return for following BrightEyes, they'll give us a cheap hat. It's a bribe. A clever ruse.
( i had to use that word) |

She said she'd make another hat, not give it to us for free... |
|
|
Oh yeah, that :( hat she promised for 2500 followers. I still don't get how it's a bribe. We get another hat stacked on top of the 10,000,000 we already have, what's the big deal?
Also, I just have to do this;
omg an 05er |

@crazy,
omg an 10er
Seriously.... Join dates do not matter. |
|
|
@Legend: In his last thread, he was saying that it was annoying how his threads always got ruined 'cause someone made a big deal of his join date :3 |
|

It's called advertising. All companies do it. Or at least, all good companies do. |

If you want to complain about the game, don't play it. Then you have nothing to complain about. They gave it to you for free, so you have nothing to complain about. |

... When I read that post it didn't really convey the thought I wanted it to...
What I meant was "You can't complain about something that is free. If you don't like it, don't play it." |

Cats is right, what kind of robloxians would we be if we stopped playing because of bad updates? We like to make things, that's why every single one of us is here. |

Since when do companies *not* buy publicity? |

Too-shay MrDoomBringer, too-shay. |

@MrDoom
The Linux Foundation doesn't buy publicity, so 2011. |

So many companies want you to follow them on twitter/like then on facebook.
Is it suddenly a bribe now that ROBLOX does it? |
|
|
"Too-shay MrDoomBringer, too-shay."
Touché is how it's spelled :P |
|
|
Following that reasoning, our entire economic system is based on "bribery". You want a hat, and ROBLOX wants publicity. You can marginally increase ROBLOX's publicity, and ROBLOX can give you a hat. You increase ROBLOX's publicity, and ROBLOX gives you a hat. Everyone involved is happier for it.
The exact same thing happens when you walk into a store. You want something that the store has (say, food) and the store wants something you have (your money). You trade, and both of you benefit. Every transaction possible fits your definition of "bribery". |
|
|
and thus the word Touch was invented. :P jk |
