No, they are political parties. Communists support the idea and party of communism, they exist around the world, not very much in the U.S, but does exist, they even run for president. Don't succeed however. |

IT'S NOT A TYPE OF PERSON, A COMMUNIST IS SOMEONE WHO IS PART OF THE COMMUNIST POLITICAL VIEW. A synonym for group, party. A bunch of people=group. A bunch of people supporting a political view= political group=political party. |

Communism isn't a form of government. It is an idea founded by Karl Marx a long time ago. A Communist is someone who supports the idea. The Communist party is normally the party in a Republic-style government that usually supports politically Liberal ideas in voting. |
