Ropes and chains can let you limit the space you/he/she/it is able to move in.
Examples:
o You could connect a chain to an item so they can't take it
o Lasso maybe?
o Keep two items together
And many more!
P.S. you will be able to toggle whether you can see it or not, the length and thickness and even a change-able texture so so it can be other things. |

Like when a celeberty walks down the red carpet and you see the velvet rope? if so support |

I think 25+ views is good for a thread that is less than 10 minutes old. |

Eh, I've had over 200 views in 5 minutes of posting. :P
Anyways, good idea. Support. |

I think you can make this. But I'm not sure if it's in the way you want.
Get a 1X1X1 brick and have a hinge top and bottom. Then just copy this loads of times on top of each other and then unanchor. |

@24601jeanvaljean
That IS a good idea.
But, problem:
1x1x1 would be too big,
And thats not what I ment.
I ment, a cylinder with about 4 links inbetween to allow flexibility, and settings to change the elasticy and length easily. |

Then we could make a chain chomp.......:D |
|
BloxoDudeJoin Date: 2008-12-31 Post Count: 2600 |
@snakehunt
EXACTLY what I ment :D |
|
|
Chain chomp FTW.

You can create bricks as small as 0.2x0.2x0.2. You can change length easily too. Just use the already made brick properties. No need for a new object class. |

@cobalt10
But new object class is fun :( |
|
BloxoDudeJoin Date: 2008-12-31 Post Count: 2600 |
@cobalt10
Besides, the .2,.2,.2 size brick links could easily brake if someone pushes against it. I think its best if there is a new object class. |
|
cobalt10Join Date: 2008-07-21 Post Count: 7371 |
Not if there is no point for a new one. A new particle effect would be good. New objects such as dynamic lights would be excellent. But what you are talking about is the equivalent of a small brick with a hinge surface. :| |
|
|
You can make this pretty of easily, though it wouldn't be a cylinder shape.
Just use plates and hinges. |

lol if I could connect this to a zombie it would try to chase thhe player, but it would be stuck. BRAIN TORTURE! |

@WillieTehWierdo200
I said, DOING THAT MAKES IT UNSTABLE. What i'm suggesting is a much more stable, nicer looking, convinient version. |

You could use a weld I guess, though it'd mean that it would only stay at a certain length, and not bend... |
