Modifey to the idea. If someone has a bricksmith badge on their alt, which will not damage the big leauges, then the name stays. However, if the person does NOT have a bricksmith and stays logged out for one year, then they can be deleted. Take "Spock" for example. Almost everyone knows the name, no one can use it. Some noob took it in 2007, then left it.

No on the part where a banned user's name becomes available. If STHHXX gets banned, think of how many people will take that name and get undue credit. Same for other famous people.

2008 thread... :o Yeah, I think old accounts should be deleted, ESPECIALLY if they hadn't accomplished much (nooby name-sniper), but important historical figures would remain. I think you could make a formula, and if they have a score (using the formula) under a certain amount, they will be deleted.
