Vegrull noticed the spectre come to this planet shortly after their ship had crashed. He was planning to strike a deal. "Fire at will."
The Turians opened fire, and John did the same.

Vegrull opened a channel to the spectre. "Spectre, I'm sure the assistance isn't what you planned, but you will still need to be careful. that Thresher maw could do anything."

Vegrull sighed and lowered his rifle. Now he had to wait. "Spread out, or the thresher maw will get you all."
John watched Rook. He had become a very reliable ally, and shouldn't take long to find the creature. |

Nurdnau dropped the rifle, pulled out his shotgun, and ran into John, knocking him out of the way. He quickly turned to face the Thresher Maw, and starting unloading shots into its mouth. |
