I spin around, knife losened, and hurl it at his chest. I then draw my longsword, and another knife. |

I jump to the side, and the knife cuts my shirt, and leaves a spot of blo.od on my side. I draw Caliburn, and stab at him. |

I throw open the door and find the thief at the top of the steps with Jack on the other side. "Surprise." I mutter with a grin and I push a defensive barrier at him. |

I take a step back to avoid the blade, but the barrier knocks me over...
Straight down the stairs, and onto the sword...
It impales throught the very far left of my side, missing vital organs, but coming through the other side all the same.
"WHAT THE **** DID YOU DO THAT FOR!?" I scream, as bl.ood begins flowing. |

I help remove the blade, while using a shield to help stop the blood flow. I guide him into the room to the bed. I get some bandages and a bowl of water and I start cleaning the wound. |

I start losing conciousness, but before I do, I smile a little. "I'm sorry...that I tried to kill you...over a...stup.id gem..." I say weakly, and slip into oblivion.. |

I finish the wound and bandage it up. I grab his wrist and I check his pulse, fearing he might be dead. I sigh with relief that his heart is still going. I get into a chair and I wipe off my sweating forehead. |
