You know, you don't have to look at the Archive at all, just click Archive and it's practically deleted if you never look at your Archive.

Pretty dumb update, I think. Unfortunately, suggesting to undo updates is frowned upon. But I still agree with this. I hate having tons and tons of spam messages clogging up my inbox.
