Many people complain that ROBLOX has lost it's purpose as an online building tool. Maybe ROBLOX is targeting younger people, but that's OK. Here is an answer to most of your problems:
The Coder's League. A seperate part of the website dedicated to coding, scripting, meshing, etc.

WHAT IS THE CODER'S LEAGUE?
The Coder's League helps people learn about coding in the most effective way. In this part of the website, tutorials are abundant, and the wiki website is available. You can have seperate chats with other "Coders" as much as you'd like. A seperate forum is also in the Coder's League, so that players can discuss about coding.
"But wait, don't we already have a scripting forum?"
Yes, but this is different. Although scripting is a large part of the Coder's League, discussions of others methods, like importing meshes and sounds are mentioned. The Coder's League makes sure a person can learn as much as they can about the LUA language as possible.
The Coder's League accepts newcomers and expert coders alike. Anyone can join, regardless of BC or not.
The Coder's League also has seperate moderators. Their job is simple, to patrol the forums there and make sure nothing goes out of order.
HOW WILL THE CODER'S LEAGUE LOOK LIKE?
The layout of the Coder's League is quite simple. The "homepage" of the Coder's League(Still a part of ROBLOX) can be compared to that of the Help page.
A part of the page dedicates the motto of the league, which can be whatever the people of ROBLOX decide it to be. It also features the wiki page, Youtube videos of tutorials made by the admins of ROBLOX, and written guides on how to script.
The Forums of the Coder's League is pretty much the same as the forums here on Roblox.
HOW CAN SOMEONE ACCESS THE CODER'S LEAGUE?
The Coder's League will be easy to access to a newcomer. On the homepage, like how we have the ad that says "Expert Builder? Time to Upgrade! Get Builder's Club", the Coder's league will have one of those ads, too. A possible ad: "Learn how to build games! The Coder's League"
The other way of accessing the Coder's League is where My ROBLOX, Games, Catalog, etc. is. To the right of "Help" will be "Coder's League". The location is important, as a new player will look and conviently find, while one who doesn't want to see it won't pay mind to it.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE CODER'S LEAGUE?
The purpose is to attract the players who are interested in using ROBLOX as learning tool. To attract these kinds of people, you must catch them early on. This is why the Coder's League on the front page is important, as new players often like to explore the website.
With the Coder's League, you retain the current group of people you have, with the potiential to bring in others, as well. Who knows if that "Expert Builder" might want to upgrade to Builder's Club after all? You don't have to worry about one dominating auidience, because you can stick to one, the other, or both!
FINAL THOUGHTS
The Coder's League can really effect ROBLOX for both the player and the company.
But what about that Video on the home page? The "Social Game" that the players of the website say doesn't fit with ROBLOX. It is fine, by the standards of ROBLOX. The Video might show alot of social activity, but the ads say that ROBLOX is the ultimate online building tool. This only adds to the diversity of what ROBLOX truly is. In ROBLOX, you create your own experience.

This doesn't sound like a very bad idea... We really should have a place for people who want to learn how to script, or want to help teach how to script, along with a place for learning about advanced building-ish related stuff. Currently, in the Scripting Helpers forum, asking to script will get you a link to wiki.roblox.com, and Scripters forum will yell at you to get out. If you were to ask Building Helpers for help with stuff like this, they'd post links to free models is my guess.

I think that it should be called something else than "The Coders' League". Maybe something like "Creativity Club".
Because, you don't have to know allot of scripting to make a great game on roblox.
Some people make games like museums, filled with all of their creations.
Of course, i'm not removing the scripting part... I'm just merging Building and Scripting. Hopefully stopping verbal battles like:
"Scripting is better than building!",
"Without building, you wouldn't have anything to manipulate!".
Yeah there will still be tutorials on scripting, but there will also be ones on building. And some with a collaboration of the two...
You see, Building and Scripting is kind of like a Bees and Flowers.
Without Bees, Flowers can't reproduce.
Without Flowers, Bees would starve because they can't make any honey. |

Building and Scripting do go hand in hand, but building is an art form, like painting, while Scripting is a skill, like playing basketball.
The Coder's League would gladly accept building as a topic, of course.
Perhaps a part like "Builder's United" could be added, or a "Creativity Club" like you stated. |
