This, by the way, could help builders everywhere..After all, think of all the neat things you could do with a gravity function! And you wouldn't even have to script!
So basically, it's one of those objects you can insert into a brick. It'll have the ordinary Parent, name, etc.
It'll also have two different variables:
Range: How far you have to be away from the brick before gravity in Roblox turns back to normal,
Power: This is used to determine which brick has the stronger Gravity if two Gravity functions are overlapping. |

Sure, but I don't know if it's scriptable. |

Well, basic Gravity SCRIPTS have already been made.
But since I suspect they either don't use Lua for the game in and of itself, or else have a lot more functions for the game, I don't think that's a particular limitation to them. |

A gravity property in BasePart would make a lot more sense than having gravity region instances. This is kindof needed, and is simple to code into their physics engine (I think..?) so I don't see why not. |

Cool! I'd make hidden entrances to places in my place bowser's inside story XD |

Mm, well, sort of, unless you wanted to do something odd, like make a Wedge with gravity. Then you'd be out of luck.
But I'm glad you support! |

Yes, it's scriptable :) Just take the script from the gravity coil and edit it. |
|
|
It's not easily scriptable, no. Sorcus admitted it. It's not accurate and doesn't work well with some of their implemented physics systems. |

Scriptable as in using that actual in-game scripts, or scriptable, as in the game in and of itself? |
|
|
It's not scriptable through Lua, no. But it should be moderately simple to change it in their physics engine (C). |

'Twas just making sure I had the facts straight. |

So you want gravity properties?
Sure. Why not? Support. |

EddrenJoin Date: 2008-03-31 Post Count: 7430 |
Well, there's a lot of stuff I *want.* There's just only a few things, such as this, that I want that would improve the overall Roblox experience. |

Anyone else support? |

That seems like a good idea! |

UGH!!! OMG noob i put this like a week ago and no one support!!! |

nico399Join Date: 2009-08-17 Post Count: 72 |
So no support >_> |
|
|
They would also have to change how the camera functions, so we dont appear upside down. |
|
EddrenJoin Date: 2008-03-31 Post Count: 7430 |
That would be assuming that it wasn't the builder's purpose for it to be that way. |
|
|
You can make gravity with bodygyro and some other thingys. |
|
|
You mean like in deadspace when you turn off the gravity in some levels? |
