i like this idea too...i use some free models(like guns) but usually are in a tool based type thing where im not good at....but other than that i try my best or study one script to find/make another one...
Also how are people gonna learn scripting?...its the games purpose in a 1/2...not tix or roblox and not even playing other peoples places they added a way to show off and get ideas(I.E playing at peoples places)...I personally noticed that less people build stuff themselves then we did in early years..i dont even go to places anymore(not because of lagg,actually its not bad on this computer) but cause its either an obby or something not made by themselves i will visit places like xlegox or stealth pilot's....or somebody i know that made/did stuff on their own... |

let em live in the wild make em learn how to survive on their own make them learn how to subtact and multiply themselves Plus it decreases the surrplus population

If you disagree with this then you are either three things:
1.) A person who used free models WAY too much.
2.) A person who only made to the front page using only free model in a place.
3.) A noob who hate great ideas and spelling.
I have to admit I use the free models but overly using them I only use them once or twice and maybe three times, but I am sure the rest of my place is HOME-MADE. So go on with your EPIC FAILS but I will be laughing when one of the administrators see's this and make this not a dream, but reality. I agree with this thread and I really hope that one of the administrators reads this.
P.S. For someone to read your responds you must really try to spell. I can understand if you are too young to spell right so I do not mean those people just those who want to post as many replies as they can. |

Most of the people who are objecting because they use Free models to leanr haven't thought it out correctly.
You don't HAVE to publish the place you learn in. In my days of learning I had a saved file full of mutated Free models. Did I ever publish it? No. But as I learned I became able to make the things and add them to my place.
To those objecting because they can't make a gun. Well with this idea, you could use free model guns, but make the rest of the stuff yourself. So therefore you could start with the basics, using free models on the complicated stuff and work up to the top.
My personal suggestion is for the game to compile a percentage of Free models, and if its higher than say... 30%? Then it applies a consequence. Those could be discussed later.

Anywho, yes. If you agree, hooray. If you disagree without reason, shut up, you're a noob. If you at least give decent reasons why, then very good, it's nice to hear both sense and disagreement to this. And if you're half and half, well, I suppose it's all down to you then, eh?
And no, "BECAUSE LOL" is not a reason.
I myself completely support you, Meelo. You are really a vast well of good ideas. I personally support the idea of an originals section, a list, and/or a limit.
1. Originals. The noobs can make their good laughs, while all we people with brains enjoy non-free model places away from them. This idea will also likely result in a lack of noobs running around team killing and whatnot.
2. The List. At the very least, we can ridicule them. I can live with that. :D
3. The Limit. Excellent idea. This way, at the very least, we can keep them off the front page entirely. And the places that are just for the creator learning will be allowed to exist, simply in the back.

This is to all the People who uses Free Models to learn Scripting (as I did).
You can get as many Free models on Roblox Studio as you want.
You can Look at them and Learn how they Work.
You can Use Test( Tools>Test>Play Solo ).
I think this is a GREAT idea.
Pros:
There will be a Greater portion of Roblox that can script/Build.
The Free Model Makers Will Get Credit.
Cons:
You can't get Free Models from a Friend (I.E. Get help From a Friend) UNLESS The Admins make a List( In Configure This Model(People That can Use Have This Model)) |

2. Free models istthe main source of weapoons. If there were to be a limit, it would make less weapons appear.
3. We get EVERY SINGLE BRICK from free models!

2. Okay... If you learned to MAKE weapons, then that'd be fixed.

Bad idea! I earned 1,000 visits on a starters place with only a bunch of zombie armies from free models. Also, I think that you hate newbs. Many people can't script/build (just like I cant.) |

I don't hate newbies. I just HATE it when non-scripter/builders get front page places. They don't deserve it. Also, you should learn to script/build. If you read my idea, you will see that there will be only a slight loss to you. So... maybe you should read my idea? |
