Roblox should have light effects as in, not those effects you find in lighting, lets explain this in smaller, easier to understand sentences
Lets say, for example: You built a house and shadows all is enabled so the inside of the house is dark, the new "light effects" feature I am suggesting, will be able to make it so the inside of the house WILL be light, but without effecting whole place lighting.
Lets say, You create a brilliant flash of light in a certain area, but if you are far from the brilliant flash of light, you will not see its effect.
So for example: You are in a cave and theres that brilliant flash of light, but everyone outside the cave does not see any flash of light.
At the moment, If you create that "brilliant" flash of light, everyone in the place will see its effect.
With the new light effects idea, you would be able to make:
. House lights
.Torches in caves (Using the fire effect too!)
.Camp fires that light up the place around
.Illumina that actually Illuminates the area around it
.Mysterious UFOs flying from far distance but letting off a light
.Flashlights
.Electricity sparks that light the place up
.Much, MUCH more.
It will be an effect like fire smoke and sparkles, But also as well as lighting a place up you will be able to:
.Darken rooms for haunted houses
.Make caves dark (For those non shadow users)
.Create blackout scenes
.Alot more
Like for example, in the settings of the light effect there would (just an example) be a light level value
So if you set that light level to something like -5 it would darken the room but if you set it to 5 it would light the room up.
It would be a sucessfull feature. |

This might be whats called "Dynamic lighting"
It would totally improve roblox like fire and smoke did, new objects to be used in building completely improve the game. |

This actually won't lag too much- MC has such and it also has to generate 6 sided blocks. |

Even if it lags, It will be possible to disable the feature in settings like you can with meterials, but in the default settings it will be enabled. |

If telamon noticed this, It would totally be in the game.
Try to turn this thread to grab most attention to the admins as possible.
It would be as exciting as the fire update, would have a trailer with cool music probably. (Telamons a creative guy, no wonder, because he's the creative director) |

or kinda like if u insert fire there actually light coming out of it.... so that way its not like theres a fire in a dark room and u still cant see anything..SUPPORT |

MC uses a very simple dynamic lighting technique that you can't put into ROBLOX, because MC has a fixed grid that lights do not move around in. |

Dynamic lighting has been an idea for ROBLOX for ages; so yeah SUPPORT. Tbh it should replace all the new hats ;) |

Light affects on or off []
The day and night makes it so time changes over time (getting darker etc)
Light affects makes it so if theres no light source its dark if theres a light source its bright |
