This is an idea I had to reduce people's reliance on Free Models.
A new menu in the Insert tab that contains a whole bunch of stock things for people to edit.
Things like a HopperBin base, a Gun base, Machinegun base etc etc.
The scripts in these items can be filled with comments so that people that don't know how to script can learn from them. They could be filled with random functions that people can use if they want to. They could be filled with random variables - basically set up so that anyone can take them and make them their own kind of creation.
I was thinking perhaps:
A zombie base
Car base
Plane base
Gun/Machinegun base
Vip bases (door, shirt doors, givers etc)
A few CFrame experiments (I always learn from these)
Scripting basics tutorials.
I remember when I was first learning to script - I would take a gun or something off Free Models and I would add stuff to it. The first weapon I ever made was a gun that fired seats at people. From there, I tried more daring stuff, I went into the more advanced scripting tutorials on the wiki and now I'm making things that a while ago I wouldn't have thought that I could do.
I'd like to see more people being able to make awesome stuff - alot of people have really great ideas, they just need to know how to make them come to life.
Kay, you can discuss now. |
