The USM is made up of several Branch's within these branch's there are many Corps. Commander, Coast Guard forces are usually sent overseas not such as Afghan or Iraq, but they have been sent to highly combat countries such as Somalya.

The United States Coast Guard is a HUGE part of the Military...When others are sent overseas they protect our Coast. Although the Medic division isnt a real "Division" of the United States. coast guards i agree are important the work out drug smuggling and pirates and go overseas to they are also the only branch that can arrest people they are important it is the 5th branch
