E
"Could you whisper it to me then?" |
Reagan
I leaned across the table. "Annie has a boyfriend," I whispered, making it look like I was saying something else. |
Reagan
I looked up at him, biting my lip. |
Ike
I shook it off. I laughed vaguely, putting on the act for Annie that Reagan had told me some joke. "You girls thirsty?" |
Ike
"What do you want to drink?" I ask, standing. |
Ike
"How about you, beautiful?" I ask, looking to Reagan. |
Reagan
"I'll be fine with water," |
KeIke
"Okay,"
I walk through the kitchen door, grabbing three glasses. A second later, they fell to the floor shattering. I had vanished. |
Reagan
"Ike?" I called. I jumped up and ran to the kitchen. "Ike!" I looked around frantically. "IKE!" I called his name again and again as I ran around the house. "Ike!" I sobbed, falling to my knees, unable to find him.
Annie
I stood in the doorway, watching her with wide eyes. I walked forward. "R...Reagan?" |
Ike
I fell on the floor, Eskimo in my arms. "Sorry. Key went haywire, I guess." |
Reagan
"Damit Ike," I cursed, hugging him tightly. "Don't scare me like that," I whispered. |
Ike
I gulped, wiping sweat from my forehead confidentially. |
Reagan
I looked at him. "What's wrong?" |
Ike
"I--Nothin...." I give up on lying. "I'll tell later.." I whisper. |
Reagan
I kissed him gently. "Okay," I helped him up and ruffled Annie's hair. "Let's go finish dinner. |
(*Tell you later)
Ike
"Yeah." I agree.
"So Annie, where do you wanna stay tonight?" I ask. |
Annie
"Wherever you have room," I said. "I can stay in the castle if you need," |
Ike
"Well, there's a tiny space in that closet in the basement," I suggest, teasing her. |
Annie
I stuck my tongue out at him and rolled my eyes. "I'll just stay at the castle." |
Ike
"Are you sure?" I ask. |
Annie
Yeah, it's fine," I smiled. "I'll take Esk with me," |
