When the toolbar pops up,and I bring the explorer menu up,it crashes.

Grey? That could mean you have lots of free models/ models/scripts/meshes which slow down your pc. Play Solo will allways be much more laggy since play solo is RBLX Files loaded to your pc (Etc. Roblox cache files)
