ROBLOX, as you know, resetting has been such a simple maneuver for the years ROBLOX has been out for the public. Your character just dies by your choice, typically with a tool (or as of recently, a GUI). Players would have to put this in their game for it to be used, which is relatively simple.
Now with your new menu GUI (which you always get by default and does not show up anywhere in the explorer, and can only be edited by the most EXPERT (I mean REALLY expert) of scripters (otherwise IMPOSSIBLE)), you have added your own reset. For the majority of game makers, this is not a problem, and may actually be an improvement. For the rest. it's a N I G H T M A R E.
I'm not joking, this is complete NONSENSE.
If players want to add a reset to their game, THEY WILL DO IT. If a player can't even add as simple as a RESET to their game, then they shouldn't even be TRYING to make one. It's NOT hard at ALL. Players throughout the YEARS have ALREADY made resets for a REASON. That's another thing, you just wasted ALL OF THEIR HARD WORK MAKING RESETS BECAUSE THEY'RE OBSOLETE NOW.
IN SOME GAMES, RESETTING IN THIS STYLE MAY EVEN COMPLETELY BREAK GAMES.
Take stickmasterluke's Laser Tag for an example. You could easily cheat and avoid WO's with this, or mess with other players by making them fight without you. The game is designed for you to not be able to actually die by your humanoid health. If you somehow die, you will still be OK, but you will miss out on the round. In the game's scripting, recorded WO's ONLY count if you have been ARTIFICIALLY KILLED BY ANOTHER PLAYER. THIS EXACTLY MEANS YOU MAY BE ABLE TO RESET TO AVOID WO'S BY OTHER PLAYERS. And there's NOTHING ANYBODY CAN DO ABOUT IT.
That's just a VERY, VERY MINOR example. Again, other games could be completely BROKEN by this.
What about players that are JAILED in games? They're SUPPOSED to be unable to do anything. If they RESET, they MAY BE ABLE TO GET OUT.
And you even PARTIALLY broke MY game with that now (OMEGA Hammers Fight). I added a reset command that DELAYS their death, freezing them until they do, so that if they were trying to reset to avoid being killed by ANOTHER PERSON and AVOID them getting a KO, they couldn't because the other person would still have time to kill them. NOW with this reset GUI, that planned is RUINED. AND I WORKED HOURS ON IT.
Good god ROBLOX staff, if you're going to do this unreasonable and time-wasting update which YOU SHOULD BE using to FIX THE ENGINE'S PROBLEMS and FINALLY FINISH THOSE PROMISED UPDATES LIKE THE NEW TYPES OF SHAPES, at LEAST make it so that you can DISABLE players from using this reset SOMEHOW. Make it a place option or something. ANYTHING the typical player can do. |

Even though this may not need player feedback, I still support. I mean, it has never happened with me, but it is kind of stupid once you think about it. |

I read the whole entire thread. All I have to say Is get used to it. There are advantages to the Reset GUI. For example, The new updates ruined Dued1's GUIs in Pizza place, and that included the reset. The new reset option made up for that.
And A lot of enragement just by one update? I can sense a ragequit coming. |

Wow, this brought out alot of attention for a small thread. But I would love it cause Im kinda annoyed at people Im sword fighting and they reset when I nearly kill them. |

Doombringer, He's practically suggesting to make the Reset button an option. Apparently, If there is an Update people don't like, They might as well get used to it. People completely raged when BC only games came out, but there was no update to them because of the raging. |

The GUI does not appear in the PlayerGui in the explorer.
My guess is that is located under one of the invisible children of "game," which makes it extremely hard to edit. |

As far as I know and what I consider, I would like to say I'm a pretty advanced scripter, and if I can't even do anything about it, then the typical player won't.

This thread is total rubbish. If you simply don't like the reset, block it with another gui. It is as simple as adding your own reset. Also, you do not need to make threats against the ROBLOX team because they added a helpful feature that all users can enjoy when stuck. It is more of a help than an annoyance, you can easily block it out. |

First of all, those specific GUI's are designed in a way that will make it so that ANY other GUI will BE PLACED UNDER THEM. You CANNOT click past the Reset button on the GUI menu. ANY GUI PLACED ON TOP OF IT WILL BE BEHIND IT AND NOT BLOCK IT.
Second, the GUI would have to be there ALL THE TIME because there's NO way to detect when the menu has been opened.
Third, I am NOT threatening ROBLOX.
Fourth, it's not NEARLY as simple (and again, that's impossible).
Fifth, I JUST said the feature was COMPLETELY unnecessary because PEOPLE CAN ADD IN RESETS ALREADY. |

Actually, it is necessary because many ROBLOX users DO NOT like to steal from the free models and actually build there own things. By adding an official feature, many users are releived that ROBLOX has provided it as a feature so they are not stealing others work. |

GEE, YOU'RE SENSITIVE ENOUGH TO NOT EVEN TAKE A RESET FROM FREE MODELS? They're FREE MODELS for a REASON. A RESET is NOT that bad.
