How would this work? It would make some things pointless. You could have a dominus empyreus and change the colour to blue and say you have a dominus frigidus :/ |

No.
If ROBLOX wants another hat of the same mesh but different texture, then ROBLOX will re-upload it in that texture.
This is not needed, and quite unorganized.

When you click the hat, it will show "What colour would you like?" and it will block out colours from the same hat just recoloured. EX. Pinktastic Hair. Colours will show up (like when you change different colours on your avatar) and it will block out blue so it won't be a copy of FaBLUElous Hair. Get it now? |
