I found a bug that can be repeated in ROBLOX Studio.
When browsing the SoundServices tree, when you click on the check mark 'Is Playing' on a particular sound, the program terminates unexpectedly.
Just thought I'd let ya know. |

I'm the main developer on the "studio" side of things. I have to admit there are lots of issues like that. Studio is primarily a development tool, so it isn't 100% robust. Whenever I have a free moment I polish it a bit (or at least rasp away at the jagged edges)

I definatly understand your position. Tool development is infinitely more difficult than game engine program because you have to worry about a hundred thousand more things and creating a stable working environment isn't always feasible.
Either way, it's useable and I can still work relatively crash-free provided I don't touch too much... :-) |

I save my work to disk complusively when I am working on a serious level in Studio - I like to take "snapshots" every hour or so, in case I need to revert. |

Oh, I think we'll get there. :)
I fixed this bug. It was actually a nice generic thing in the end: Attempt to modify a readOnly property. The fixt will make lots of stuff more stable, and properties that are readOnly will be grayed out in the property grid.
Warning: The fix didn't make it into today's update. It'll show up next time. |

I actually meant to say "... creating a stable working environment is no easy task." I'm not really sure why it came out the way it did. Heh... shows what happens when you're rushing through things... ^_^
Either way, it works generally well and I'm mostly satisfied with it. Seeing as both programs are in their early stages, I'm very much looking forward to seeing how they continue to develop. |
