Well, I mean, "yay".
We have heads and faces.
w00t.
But, then again, what's the gain if we can't have any effects to go in-game WITH those heads and faces?
Well, I know none of this will be simple, but, we really need some more special effects.
You know, for details.
Such as:
Particle effects -- Basicly sparkles, except, they support any text (which is reduced to 16x16).
Volumetric Effects -- 2 or more intercecting textures to give the impression of grass, bushes ETC. Maybe even clouds.
Dynamic lights -- Deffinatly the hardest, but, basicly, multiple movable lights casting shadows.
Ambient lights -- Same as dynamic lights, but goes through objects.
Different physics effects -- You know what this is.
Abillity to insert primative shapes -- Cmon, shapes you've learned about when you were 4?
ETC.
I know most won't happen soon, but they're things to think about. |

Well, to keep people from over-spamming them, we could have an "effects points" system.
Would work like this:
You start with 2500 points (per place).
Every effect you put in subtracts a certain ammount, as followed:
Particle effects - 10
Volumetric effects - 2
Dynamic lights - 500
Ambient lights - 200

Correct....... But a simpler way to do dynamic light is the make a light source an insertable object, And allowing players to point the light flow in whichever direction they desire. |

Why could also have partical reactors! Imagine how creative scripters could be! A reactor one minute, Sucking in all particals in it's radius, Then pumping them all out in an epic explosion! |

Dynamic Lights would be awesome! I'd already thought of those before I saw this thread and just think about it, campfires, lamps, cool shadow effects, you could even make places that are similar to agh, can't remember the name, anyways those things that you make shapes with your hands and a flashlight, and to keep newbs unconfused just call 'em "Light Bricks" |
