Is Pro Wrestling Real or Fake?

I've recently watched the TV special Exposed! Pro Wrestling's Greatest Secrets and it got me wondering: Is professional wrestling really fake? On one hand, the wrestling in the video did seem pretty phony. None of the moves and expressions looked real at all. However, it might've been because the video was pretty lame. Not to mention it was kind of outdated (it aired in the late 90s) and insisted that obscure moves such as pushing stunt grannies and throwing salt in your opponent's eye happened every night. I'm not sure what it could be, but for now, I want to hear your opinions. So what do you think: Is Pro Wrestling real or fake?

Not opinion: FACT. It is fake, the ring isn't hard, it's a damn trampoline. The blood inflicted is real, for they sneak a razor onto the person who is written down to bleed, Yes every match is planned with a script..., so they can make a cut when they're away from the cameras. You can find alot of them accidently on camera on youtube or something.

The storylines and grudges are fake, although there can be some grudges between people outside of the storylines. The ring does have springs in it to allow some give to keep from injury and to allow them to stomp their foot down when they want to make a sound for a big punch. BUT, some of the hits are real, like when they throw the person onto the side areas around the ring, as well as some of the air moves. The thing about World Wrestling Entertainment, or WWE, is that there is no blood anymore, so you can't really use razors... You need to have athletic endurance and skill to be in it though. So, The storylines and some hits are fake. The moves, and skill is not.

Depending on which one, the olympic sport or that "Scripted" Sport The olympic sport is real: It originated from ancient greece whereas now there is restrictions as back then you were able to gouge eyes out. Scripted sport: Injuries are real punches are real the match outcome is scripted so whatever happens is sometimes meant to happen depending on the injuries the bloodieness is fake as it is a blood pack that is barely used now as the shows have turned into a PG, the blood pack is not time release it pops with too much pressure.

I've recently come to realize that the video I watched wasn't really telling me that pro wrestling was fake. It was telling me it was a CON! A SCAM! A DUPE! A SPECKLEDORF! But is it really all those things? I mean, many role models to children are pro wrestlers. Would any of those wrestlers really give them their trust just to jip them out of their money? And if pro wrestling was just a scam, then it would have to be pne of the longest-running scams in history, as I think it's been going on since the early 20th century. So what do you think: Is pro wrestling real, fake, or a con?

Does it matter? It's scripted, the outcome is planned, just like movies and tv shows, which is why people watch it, I honestly don't see why people hate on it for not being "Real" I don't watch it but still, it's entertainment, just like movies are, but people aren't going around saying "MOVIES ARE FAKE SO I DON'T WATCH THEM!" To me it's childish, but hey a lot of people are.

Wrestling such as WWF/WWE and TNA are scripted not fake the damage in the ring is real and alot of people have been hurt but the winner of the match has already won because thats apart of the script but its Entertainment people dont watch WWE to watch people get hit by a chair the best thing about the ATTITUDE era was that there was good storylines and good wrestlers the main problem with WWE nower days is that it has no strong storyline

Ro wrestling = real WWE = Real And i know for a fact its scripted but the ring action is real exept when they are on the floor screaming. They are good actors.
