TL;DR version:Make a voting system for S&I threads,if 70% or more say the thread is not acceptable,the thread is locked and the person who created it can't CREATE a new thread for a certain amount of time. WITH the restriction of needing 50 posts to be able to vote on threads. Also to make the voting work,there must be at least 20 people who have voted. Whats the new in the update: All i did was make 50 posts required to vote instead of 500 =/. Also i changed 40 people into 20 people needed for the poll to work. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Original Post: I had an idea to help stop spam/over-suggested ideas on the S&I,a new voting system,it has some flaws,but i think the benefits are worth it for the flaws. WNTS should come in with this too. How it would work _________________ Basically it's a voting system. At the top where the dark-blue border is,it will have a question saying "Was this thread acceptable?" If 70% or more of people vote "No." the post is automatically locked,and cannot be replied to,even by the creator of the thread. The thread must stay 70% or more for about maybe a day or a couple hours until it's locked. There must be at least 40 votes for this to take effect. It's locked and not deleted so if people have a better way of configuring the idea,they can. The creator of the thread has a delay of around 20-15 minutes before CREATING a thread,but they can reply to others if their thread gets locked forcefully. The Flaws _________________ -"People can spam the same topic even after their post is locked." Yes,but you can report it,and the delay between thread topics is there so the spam/bad ideas are delayed and other ideas are shown. -"People can troll on topics and it's alt-abusable." - Also with the requisite of needing 50 posts They can,but it's like a needle in a haystack. If you played the game Transformice,you'll know exactly what i'm talking about. After each game in Transformice you must vote if you liked or disliked the map,and if it's below 50% it's deleted,if you were to create several alts on transformice and vote on a dislike on a map,you could,but it is highly unlikely,and it barely would make an effect. Also the person would need to create a minimum of 40 alts just to even make the poll work. (Note:This idea wasn't originated from this game,i just thought of it as a good comparison.) -"Good ideas can get locked." Yeah,but let's face it. If it's THAT good of an idea it needs over 70% of dislikes,that "good idea" will have a tuff time being "good" with 70% dislikes. That's why you can create your own updated thread on the topic if it's good enough. The Benefits ________________ -Over suggested topics/spam are locked and dealt with and helps get good ideas up on the front page instead of allowing "bad" posts to be bumped back up. -Allows you to get a quick review and criticism on your own topic/someone's topic. -If a mod were to SOMEHOW check someone's thread,they could get a great response from the community just by looking at the percentage.

@Wazza, I'm not trying to offend you but you need to improve your grammer, and you must space everything per word (unless its one word combined), its hard to read if you didn't space every word. And plus the writing makes you like a 2-year old.
