“Hey, Mike!” Brittany yelled as she raced up the hill.
“Oh gawd,” Mike muttered as he heard her voice. Brittany gave a whole new meaning to ‘clingy’. ( A violent one, too.)
You see, she could be a bit… ‘passionate’ about things she liked. When she was obsessed with a Star Wars, she dressed up as one of the characters and talked like him, too. And if anyone tried to tell her she was Brittany Reed and NOT Anakin Skywalker, she’d hurt them. With a pillow.
Trust me, if you could hurt someone with something, she knew. She definitely knew.
“So, Mike, ya miss me?” Brittany asked, grinning from ear to ear at her ‘catch’.
I forgot to mention this: Mike had the (dis)pleasure of being HER b.o.yfri.end.
Only when she’d singlehandedly beaten up some of his bigger, taller classmates did Mike know Brittany was special. Very special.
“I-I missed you, Britt,” he said, stuttering. “But you know my parents would kill me if they found out I’m with you.”
“But it’s okay!” she yelled back at him, even though she was only five feet away. “We’re together!”
‘That’s what I’m worried about,’ he thought…
